New Names On Our Radar After Nebraska Stock Up Showcase

The Nebraska Stock Up Showcase gave us that opportunity, and several defensive players caught our attention with the way they competed in the back row.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Defense is about more than just getting a hand on the ball. It's reading the hitter, being in the right position, taking tough serve-receive reps, and finding a way to keep the rally alive when the play breaks down. She held a solid defensive stance, transitioned smoothly in the back row, and read the play well before she received the ball. The level of control she had was particularly impressive. She wasn't just making contact; she was trying to create playable balls and give her team an opportunity to transition. She stayed engaged, chased down tough balls, and continued competing even when the first touch wasn't straightforward.
