Her ultra-high attack touch, coupled with a very high volleyball IQ, allows her to go over, around and through any blocker thinking they have a chance against her because of her size. Her penetration on the block is exceptional, and her offensive capabilities caught up to her defensive skill during club season this past spring. Already adept at the M2 position, she's a force to be reckoned with when attacking in front of the setter. From super small Forest Park, Avery's ability to take over a match at the small school level was immediately apparent. When club season started, however, she proved her mettle and that her full-go and no-quit mentality carried her far against more seasoned competition. Against bigger competition, she uses her high contact point to score, while against smaller blocks she abuses their lack of discipline with her brute strength. I think she's more of a right side at the next level, but I've seen her play both positions equally well and, with a little training, could be a positive influence on multiple position groups.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
