Dallas Freshman Showcase Top Performers Vol 8

Prep Dig Texas Showcases are back! We had some big events that were held at the Courtside Sports Center on July 19th. The Freshman showcase for the 2030 grad class was amazing! These events always bring together athletes from across the state looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. There were tons of awesome players that we evaluated from their awesome production. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. Let's take a closer look at three players who earned Top Performer honors at the Dallas Freshman showcase.    Watching [player_tooltip player_id='878853' first='Ava' last='De Moor'] run an offense is watching someone who has already figured out that setting is a problem-solving job. When the pass was off she did not panic and when the block loaded up on one side she found the other side with against the flow decisions. Her tempo calls throughout the Dallas Freshman Showcase showed a player who was reading the defense rather than running a script and that quality at this stage of development is genuinely rare. The hitters she worked with throughout the day trusted her quickly and that trust showed in how they approached the ball when it was set to them. She led with calm and competed with purpose from the first drill to the last point of the event. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.     There is a pattern forming around [player_tooltip player_id='983007' first='Chloe' last='Harris'] and it is worth paying attention to. She earned the Avoli Award at a Prep Dig showcase earlier this summer at Nationals and walked into the Dallas Freshman Showcase and performed just as well in front of a different group of court coaches and scouts. The consistency is the story. Her closing footwork at the net was sharp and her transition showed athleticism that matches the frame she brings to the position. What has not changed between events is the character. She competed hard, she communicated constantly, and she made the players around her feel like the team was together even in a lineup of athletes who had just met. Scouts who have been tracking her know what they are watching. The ones who have not need to find her film now as she is someone who will be a known commodity that college coaches will love. The first thing you notice about [player_tooltip player_id='947442' first='Alyssa' last='Jackson'] is the height. The second thing you notice is that she knows how to use it. Her approach at the Dallas Freshman Showcase generated a contact point that gave the defense very few good answers and she found angles over the block that changed how the other team had to set up their coverage as the scrimmage went on. She passed well enough to stay on the floor in all six rotations without the coaches on the sideline ever having to think twice about it. The competitive edge she brought to the day was steady and genuine and she never let a tough moment carry into the next rally. Rock Hill is still a young program finding its footing in a competitive area of North Texas and players like Jackson are exactly how that changes. She will be a key figure for them moving forward from what I can see from her production at the showcase. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
