More Notable Performers at Summer Slam in Owensboro

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Clarksville Wildcats came into the Summer Slam in Owensboro undefeated at 7-0.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Clarksville (11-1) may not have played for the Gold Division championship after losing 2-1 to Warren East in the quarterfinals, but Clarksville did finish strong. The Wildcats took fifth in the tournament after knocking off Henry Clay then Meade County to finish 5-1 in the tournament. That included a win over defending 2nd Region champion Henderson County.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bullitt East Chargers finished 2-1 in pool play, but pulled off the Silver Division crown with three wins. Graves County took the Bronze championship and Christian County won the Copper Division. She makes quality first touches on defense and serve receive. She sets up nicely behind blockers and does not hesitate to slide for balls, but does so under control. Cole has great instincts, making one-armed passes to keep plays alive. Miles sends over nice roll shots and makes things happen when the team is out of system. Miles executes sound two to three-point passes on both serve reception and defense. Miles performs both bump and overhead passes with precision. Gaines comes in off blocks and puts nice tips to the shallow six zone. Gaines takes hard swings in the middle and the pins. She provides great leadership on the court and does not hide behind blocks.
