Summer Slam Day One High Risers in Pool H

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Meade County Wave and Logan County Cougars won both pool play games at Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday to start the Summer Slam and will battle to go to the Gold Bracket at 8 a.m. Central Standard Time Monday Morning. One hour later, the Ballard Memorial Bombers and Lyon County Lyons will square off to go to the Bronze Division at the Cliff Hagan Boys and Girls Club.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ballard Memorial won the first set against Logan County, before the Cougars rallied to take the next two. The third set could have gone either way. McIntosh made plays from the middle and pins. She attacks seams with precision. McIntosh sends powerful shots down the lines. McIntosh also made a lot of hustle plays that helped the Cougars pull out the three-set win over Ballard Memorial. She provides sound net play to at least slow down balls for back row players and takes hard swings offensively. She tools blocks and gets on top of balls to put great power into them. She involves a number of hitters and can execute a variety of sets. Bodell sent a number of out of system balls back toward the net and has good relexes on defense. Coffman puts down overpassed balls with authority and encourages her teammates. Coffman made a number of crisp first touches in both games.
