Here's a closer look at players to watch in one of the state's top leagues, the Mississippi Athletic Conference:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='490015' first='Mazie' last='Sweers'], OH/S, Pleasant Valley</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sweers has been starting and standing since she was a freshman. She went from being one of the best six-rotation outside hitters around to a top setter last season, when she switched positions for the good of the team. The Missouri Western State commitment is a great preseason pick for MAC Player of the Year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='489998' first='Belle' last='Seaman'], S/RS, Muscatine</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The three-year starter is a setter by trade, playing the position for her first two seasons at Muscatine and throughout her run with Iowa United, one of the state's top club teams for her age group. When the Muskies ran a 6-2 last year, it unleashed another side of Seaman, who ranked fifth in the MAC with 283 kills.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='569671' first='Logan' last='Ramstack'], DS/L, Bettendorf</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ramstack has been patrolling the back row in the jersey for three years at Bettendorf. She poised for a super senior season, playing free and easy with her commitment to Missouri-St. Louis in the bank. The Bulldogs have pieces to make noise in 2026, and it starts with Ramstack passes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='694203' first='Belle' last='Cotton'], OH, Assumption</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Knights won a state championship last season with Cotton flourishing as their six-rotation outside hitter. The sophomore ranked second on the team in kills and digs. She's a super smart player that maximizes her impressive skill set. It will be interesting to see her lead a young and talented Assumption squad in 2026. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='765171' first='Dillynn' last='Moore'], OH, Davenport Central</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Davenport Central standout led her team in kills and digs as freshman last season. Long one of the better all-around players in the state for her age group, Moore has grown and developed her game to where a significant second-year as a prep could very well be loading. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://www.gobound.com/direct/teams/h202221758459bba8c597b334979a98b/show">[player_tooltip player_id='741877' first='Tenley' last='Cewe'],</a> DS/L, Clinton</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cewe started as a freshman last season and led Clinton in digs. She's been one of her age group's top back-row prospects for years and took a sizable step forward with her play in club. Look for the sophomore to take her game up another notch this fall along the Mississippi River. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='555777' first='Quinn' last='Schroeder'], MH/RS, Central DeWitt</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Schroeder paced Central DeWitt in blocks and ranked second in kills behind a senior last season. The long-armed middle hitter has the flexibility hit from the opposite pin and is an impactful defender at the net no matter where she lines up. She seems primed for a productive final prep go-around.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
