Who to Watch in Minnesota Section 3AAA This Fall

There are familiar names returning, younger players ready to make their mark, and plenty of athletes who caught my attention during the club season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This isn't a ranking or a complete list, just a group of players who have caught my eye and who I'm excited to watch this fall. She does a really nice job getting her feet to the ball, has solid hands, and knows how to run the court. Last season, she finished with 735 assists, 31 kills, 129 digs, and 35 aces. She's only entering her sophomore season and already has an impressive 311 kills under her belt. I also had the chance to watch her play with Northern Lights this past club season and you can see how much her game has grown. She moves well on the court, tracks down nearly everything, and has a great volleyball IQ for such a young player. Running a 6-2 offense last season, she put up 502 assists and 159 digs. She can attack from the pin, play solid middle back defense covering from sideline to sideline, step into the libero role, and even set when asked. While I'm guessing she will primarily be used as a passer this prep season, she has the ability to step into a number of different roles when her team needs her. She's super quick, has a fast, powerful swing, and is constantly on the move, making her tough to defend. She can hit both cross and line and she will run routes into the middle, always finding different ways to score. The junior has a solid vertical and a big swing that can not only score points but help spread out the offense. Byron will be rebuilding a bit this season and we can't wait to see what Vos can do with the opportunity and how big of a role she can carve out for herself.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
