We recently covered a group of pin hitters making gains this fall, and our 2029 rankings already seem to be heading toward another refresh. Kansas liberos tend to carry their influence beyond the prep level, and we're quickly finding some next-level potential among the 2029s. Loomis is one of those stat-stuffing contributors for the Trojans, but her excellence goes beyond the score sheet. She has the unique responsibility of patrolling the middle-back area in the libero jersey, allowing Beloit's "floor general" to go to work. Much of Loomis' productivity can be traced to her knack for reading opposing attackers and knowing when to crash in on a tip shot. These big-time club events were a perfect venue for Dessert to showcase her multi-zone defensive work and sharp, driving serve. Lansing High has harnessed the same aptitude from its sophomore libero. Dessert is never satisfied with merely keeping balls alive. Early-season highlight film has shown her knack for placing digs right on her setter's head, letting the Lions spread the wealth in the frontcourt. However, Klaker and her crew appear to be even more dominant in pursuit of another postseason push. Klaker has climbed the sophomore leaderboard with 3.4 digs per set while becoming a stabilizing force in Zone 6. She will eagerly wave off fellow defenders to allow attackers to start their approach. She put up a colossal 25-dig performance against Olathe South to add to her growing highlight tape this fall. McArthur will readily fill that niche, as she has represented West Franklin in softball and basketball, too. Her volleyball strengths are most prevalent in the back row, where she has kicked off the year with nearly four digs per set for the Falcons. Doom has distinguished herself at Classical, replicating the stellar output she produced as a freshman. 17-dig performances against Sterling and Greenfield help depict Doom's fleet-footed work along the end line, but this sophomore is also willing to step in as a confident secondary setter.
