On the Attack: Minnesota’s Biggest Point Producers

These players are finding ways to score in system and out of system, from different spots along the net, out of the back row, and with everything from big swings to well placed shots. That experience shows in the way she attacks and competes. Stortz has racked up 145 kills while averaging an impressive 5.4 kills per set and hitting .470 on the season. She is powerful, aggressive, and knows how to compete. Her team moves her around the offense, giving her opportunities to score from different areas of the court and making it difficult for opposing defenses to cheat. The senior and St. Benedict commit is the type of six rotation player who seems to have a hand in nearly every possession. So far this season, she has racked up 171 kills while averaging 4.8 kills per set, along with 19 aces, 11 blocks, 131 digs, and 7 assists. She has also handled 210 service receptions, showing just how much responsibility she carries on both sides of the ball. She does a great job seeing the block and reading the court, finding different ways to score rather than relying solely on power. That versatility and finesse have helped her rack up 147 kills so far this season, averaging an impressive 3.8 kills per set. She has racked up 151 kills while averaging an impressive 4.9 kills per set, and a big reason for those numbers is the variety she brings to the attack. Leners can score from the pin, terminate out of the middle, run different routes, and recognize when the defense leaves an opening for a well placed tip. She is a long, powerful attacker with a quick arm swing who can put the ball away from multiple spots on the court. Frie has already racked up 200 kills this season, averaging 5.4 kills per set while hitting .285. One area where Frie has really developed is her serve receive, making her an increasingly complete six rotation player who can impact the game well beyond her attacking numbers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
