Hams is a versatile middle who can make an impact attacking both out of the middle and from the pin. She does a great job seeing the block and reading the court, finding different ways to score rather than relying solely on power. That versatility and finesse have helped her rack up 147 kills so far this season, averaging an impressive 3.8 kills per set. Hams uses smart placement, angles, and tips to keep defenses guessing.

Lanee Hams Lanee Hams 5'11" | MB East Grand Forks | 2028 MN is fun to watch at the net because she seems to see the play developing early. She reads what is coming and gets herself in a good spot to challenge the hitter. I really like her hands when she goes up. She gets them over the net instead of just reaching straight up, and that takes away a lot of room for a hitter. Hams can make what looked like an open swing disappear pretty quickly. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

Lanee Hams Lanee Hams 5'11" | MB East Grand Forks | 2028 MN plays the middle the way you want a middle to play. She’s constantly moving from block to attack, putting herself in position in transition rather than watching the play unfold. I also like that she plays long rallies in competition. I think she’ll continue to play a bigger role around the net with another year under her belt. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas
