Paetow sweep Cinco Ranch on the road in district play

Cinco Ranch have two wins and eight losses in District 22 and nine wins and 20 losses for the season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Players of the Match</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Crowder was unstoppable at the net and dominated the game on both sides of the ball. The senior middle's offense was flawless, as Cinco Ranch had no answers for her strong game, built around her impressive length and high contact point. Crowder was particularly good when hitting the slide, showing excellent footwork to move on the court and a very quick arm swing. Her blocking was also a big factor, as she moved very well at the net, was very aggressive at pressing opponents and got stops in important moments of the match.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/grtorres/status/2105096316527538465?s=20 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Negron's impeccable back row performance was one of the foundations of Paetow's overall strong display that led them to a dominant road win. The junior libero was fantastic defensively, making quick movements at the left back position to get to the ball, make impressive digs and generate numerous transition opportunities for them. Negron was also very reliable and efficient with her passing and allowed her setter to operate in system the vast majority of the time. The libero had an excellent serving run near the end of set three, when Paetow was five points behind, and led their impressive comeback with a couple of aces and a lot of service pressure.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/09/2J4A0009_320977.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-1047018" /></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Originally a right side hitter, Martin played on the left and was very consistent and productive for Paetow. The junior was very solid offensively, firing powerful swings with her skilled left hand and showing excellent vision to score off tips and shots when facing well-formed blocks. Martin also made a big impact when playing defense, standing out for her positioning and her quickness to get to the ball. Her passing was consistent the entire time, too, and she handled well the serves that went her way.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/grtorres/status/2105090495794020471?s=20 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Moctezuma was in a comfortable position during the match, getting to work in system almost the entire time, and made the most of it. The junior setter's playmaking was excellent as she kept all her hitters involved, showing confidence in each of them and strong connections. Moctezuma wasn't afraid of moving her hitters around when in system and frequently had Cinco Ranch's blockers scrambling, while also showing good accuracy in transition plays. The senior outside hitter wasn't as heavily used as in other matches, but was asked to step up in difficult plays and had success in her role. Scranton was very smart to make the most of her tremendous offensive range and high contact point, but also demonstrated great vision to find ways around the block. The pin hitter also got the job done in serve-receive, often using her hands to control the serves that went her way.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/09/2J4A0017_def3a5.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-1047022" /></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Petty was one of Cinco Ranch's most consistent players on the court and showed a solid all-around game for the Cougars. Her team had passing issues during most of the match, but the freshman outside hitter was among the best in that area, showing confidence and superior ball control to handle the serves that went her way. Petty's offensive decision-making was always on point and helped her significantly limit her errors.
