Players of the Week:

[player_tooltip player_id='547495' first='Olivia' last='Ambeau'] continues to show why she is one of the most versatile players in the state. Cabot (7-3) went 2-0 on the week, and Ambeau was involved in just about everything the Panthers did. Cabot defeated Pulaski Academy in a five setter where Ambeau had 19 kills hitting .414, 5 solo blocks and dished out 19 assists. The double-double machine was at it again in a sweep of 6A Central opponent Jonesboro with 12 kills and 12 assists, this time hitting .417.   She finished the week with 31 kills, 30 digs, 29 assists, 6 blocks and 2 aces. Those numbers tell the story. Olivia can score from the pin, help run the offense, defend and make plays at the net.   We talk a lot about six-rotation players, but Ambeau takes versatility a step further. She can legitimately fill multiple roles for Cabot without the Panthers having to sacrifice much anywhere on the court. A 30-kill, 30-dig, 30-assist week would have been pretty cool, but I think we'll let her slide on that one missing assist.   From HC Anna Robertson, "She has had a really good start to the season. For the Season: 28 sets | 96 kills | 3.4 k/s | 6 aces | 100 assists | 22 blocks | 98 digs     [player_tooltip player_id='1008021' first='Lynley' last='Seyler'] had herself a week for Brookland(10-1-1). In seven sets, she hammered down 41 kills, averaging an impressive 5.85 kills per set while hitting .331. She also added 6 aces and 32 digs. In a tough matchup against the Harmony Grove Lady Cardinals Seyler dropped 22 kills hitting .278 in a 3-1 win and turned around and had 19 kills hitting .385 in a sweep of Wynn.   Seyler was already a major part of the Brookland offense last season with 326 kills, but she has taken another step this year. She's scoring at a high rate without sacrificing efficiency, and 41 kills in only seven sets shows just how much the Bearcats are leaning on her offensively.   Lynley isn't just staying in the front row and swinging, either. The 32 digs and 6 aces are a big part of what made this week stand out. Seyler is producing all over the court, and right now she is making it awfully difficult for defenses to slow her down and the Bearcats down. She has been pushed by blockers and tested by defenses that kept digging her hits during the first few weeks of play, but she keeps finding a way to come out on top.
