Top Outsides at the Michigan Stock Up Showcase (Part 2)

<p><em><strong>Be sure to follow @lshotvb on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/lshotvb/">Instagram</a>, <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@lshotvb?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc">Tik Tok </a>and <a href="https://x.com/LineShotVBall">Twitter</a> for all things volleyball!</strong></em></p>   <p><strong><em><strong><em><a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@lshotvb/video/7683230366580133151?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc">THIS PLAYER JUST WON AVCA NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK IN HER SECOND WEEK EVER PLAYING!!</a></em></strong></em></strong></p>   <p><strong><em>--</em></strong></p>   <p>It's about that time to get a look on the returners! </p>   <p>The Stock Up Showcase is the perfect place to get a good check up on some of the top athletes across the state, but its also the place to be to find the emerging talents that are beginning to blossom. This year's edition of the Stock Up was second to none.</p>   <p>We had it all here. The National Champions. The USA Training invitees. Some of the biggest names in Michigan volleyball were on tap for the showcase at UWM Sports Complex. But we also had the fresh faces. The players that caused us to turn our head and go "Who is that?!" We got you covered here!</p>   <p>Now, its time for the pins! These are the players that take a brunt of the swings and pass just as much as the 'bros. Whether you're on the left or on the right, these players are making a huge difference on the court. Here are the top outsides at the Michigan Stock Up Showcase.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='776389' first='Taylor' last='Rivers'] - Marian/Michigan Elite</h2>   <p>Coming out of the club season, we got to really see what [player_tooltip player_id='776389' first='Taylor' last='Rivers'] was made of, and she's keeping it going entering the fall. While she isn't the biggest player on the court, she can make the biggest boom. Rivers has a nice touch on the overall game. From her first contact, to her third, Rivers can make an impact in so many different ways.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='885461' first='Riley' last='Harrah'] - Tecumseh/Legacy</h2>   <p>Don't think we didn't forget about this one's breakout rookie season last year with Tecumseh. And don't think we'll forget about her anytime soon, because [player_tooltip player_id='885461' first='Riley' last='Harrah'] was just getting started. Harrah is coming into the fall with a lot of momentum. With not only the experience she gained from Tecumseh in the fall, but being a part of a national championship winning team in the summer, Harrah has a natural edge. Her swings are harder, her shots are sharper, and she's tested in the toughest environments.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='741882' first='Georgia' last='Addleman'] - Parma Western/Team Pineapple</h2>   <p>Right alongside Harrah, [player_tooltip player_id='741882' first='Georgia' last='Addleman'] was a HUGE part of that national championship winning team. So much so, she was named an All-American in the 15 Open Division. If that doesn't shoot you off into the fall with some heat, I don't know what does. Addleman is an athlete that brings so much to the court. You can have her run the offense or you can have her BE the offense, either way, its a winning recipe with Addleman. She's got a banging south paw on the right side and has the court vision to get you on the soft shot as well.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='858244' first='Cornelia' last='Friedrich'] - Detroit Country Day/Legacy</h2>   <p>The 2026/2027 year is the year of [player_tooltip player_id='858244' first='Cornelia' last='Friedrich'], I just feel it. There may not be anybody else in the gym that can elevate and dominate the net the way Friedrich can. She's another of many left handed attackers in the field and she's surely developing quite a filthy arm. But what gets you the most is that block of Friedrich. Of all front row players in the state, there may not be a better blocker than this one. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='782729' first='Rachel' last='Unsworth'] - Brighton/L2</h2>   <p>The 2029 group may be the deepest class of high level opposites that this state has every seen. [player_tooltip player_id='782729' first='Rachel' last='Unsworth'] is the next on the list and man, can she dominate on the right side. Unlike the other opposites on tap, Unsworth is a right handed attacker, but looks just as comfortable and fluid as the leftys. While she has one of the heaviest arms in the gym, its Unsworth's vision and ability to carve different shots on the right that can make her so effective. She'll be a difference maker for Brighton this fall.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='895702' first='Iceiss' last='Morrison'] - Dakota/Michigan Elite</h2>   <p>Macomb Dakota is no stranger to producing some of the top talent in the state and [player_tooltip player_id='895702' first='Iceiss' last='Morrison'] could very well be the next in line. At 6'0 and jumping as well as she does, Morrison could be a game changer in the fall.
