Top Outsides at the Michigan Stock Up Showcase

This year's edition of the Stock Up was second to none.</p>   <p>We had it all here. The National Champions. The USA Training invitees. Some of the biggest names in Michigan volleyball were on tap for the showcase at UWM Sports Complex. But we also had the fresh faces. The players that caused us to turn our head and go "Who is that?!" We got you covered here!</p>   <p>Now, its time for the pins! These are the players that take a brunt of the swings and pass just as much as the 'bros. Whether you're on the left or on the right, these players are making a huge difference on the court. Here are the top outsides at the Michigan Stock Up Showcase.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Alexis Donavan - Orchard Lake St. Mary/Legacy</h2>   <p>This is an athlete has really developed into a dangerous prospect over the last few years. From when we first got to see her as a freshman compared to now, Alexis Donavan has all of the makings to be an impact player on the pin. When she connects with the ball, she can make a lasting impression.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='995465' first='Zoe' last='Moulton'] - Rudolf Steiner/L2</h2>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='995465' first='Zoe' last='Moulton'] is not only a fun player to watch on the court but she is a ton of fun off the court. This is an athlete that oozes personality and it blends into her play. Moulton is a smaller player but makes up for that in her vertical and arm. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='849862' first='Claire' last='Ryan'] - SMCC/Michigan Elite</h2>   <p>SMCC will be in good hands this fall with the introduction to [player_tooltip player_id='849862' first='Claire' last='Ryan'] to the Kestrel's line up. This is another 'undersized' player that has such an upside to her play. She moves well around the court whether she is at the net or in the back court. And she can be quite the crafty attacker, chopping up a variety of shots to bring home a point.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='990130' first='Haley' last='Fellin'] - Troy Athens/Michigan Elite</h2>   <p>When you talk about explosive players, you really can't look no further than [player_tooltip player_id='990130' first='Haley' last='Fellin']. On trend here, Fellin is a bit of an undersized dandy, but man, does she get up and get going! Her explosiveness at the net allows her to do so many different things to a high effect rate. Throw her on a pin or throw her in the middle, the speed in which she plays really bodes itself well.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='848405' first='Olivia' last='Riha'] - Dearborn/Passion</h2>   <p>I was a really big fan of this player's arm. [player_tooltip player_id='848405' first='Olivia' last='Riha'] gets up so well, but adds to it with a nice high reach that can generate quite a bit of power. Riha doesn't come from a powerhouse program of any kind, but she, herself, can be quite the powerhouse in her own right with the way she attacks on the court.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='776808' first='Brynn' last='Johnson'] - Marshall/FaR Out</h2>   <p>It's to not surprise to see this one's continued success after such an explosive freshman year. [player_tooltip player_id='776808' first='Brynn' last='Johnson'] is coming into the fall with a vengeance and it was evident at the Stock Up Showcase. She was a kills leader as a freshman last fall and she was an All-American and 15 open runner up this club season with FaR Out. The experience only boosts her play, you do not want to cross paths with her.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='888951' first='Piper' last='Vugteveen'] - Hudsonville/FaR Out</h2>   <p>In case you were wondering who the next star out of Hudsonville will be, look no further than [player_tooltip player_id='888951' first='Piper' last='Vugteveen']! At 6'1, Vugteveen brings a lot of size to the net and a lot of prowess. Alongside Johnson, Vugteveen is coming off of a huge club season that saw her as a critical piece on the right side, leading to FaR Out's 15 Open Runner-Up Finish.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='775991' first='Sydney' last='Manning'] - Lakeview/FaR Out</h2>   <p>Rounding out the pin trio of the FaR Out crew, let's talk [player_tooltip player_id='775991' first='Sydney' last='Manning']. This may be one of the most well-rounded athletes in the class so far. From her defense and ball control to her attacking prowess and game management as a six rotation outside hitter. Manning is an athlete that is truly coming into her own as a dominating presence on the court.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='888384' first='Allysse' last='Deshetsky'] - North Branch/NBVBC</h2>   <p>Just when you thought you could breathe a sigh of relief with the graduation of Aubree Deshetsky, oh wait... There is more! [player_tooltip player_id='888384' first='Allysse' last='Deshetsky'] is the last of the Deshetsky clan coming into her sophomore season with heat! Much like her sisters, Allyssee plays a very strong, well-rounded game. Last year saw the rising star really show off her chops as a strong attacker, but not needed so much in the full six rotation game.
