What Illinois 2027s Are About To Rise In The Rankings?

The Illinois Class of 2027 rankings are going to be released this week.  A much needed update where many of these athletes have given their verbal to the next level.  Some are entering their last semester of high school and will be heading to college this winter.  Who are the ones who will be moving up the rankings?  Here is a glimpse.     [player_tooltip player_id='1039920' first='Kalyn' last='Brookbank'] burst on to the scene this past club season for [program_tooltip program_id='431567' first='Adversity' last=''] 17 Adidas where she was part of a high powered squad that qualified for the USAV 17 Open Division. I remember seeing her at Triple Crown where there was a buzz around her court with her rising stock. She had the length, athleticism, and major upside. The Barrington senior was proving that she could score points at a high level. She gave her verbal to Minnesota and could be one to watch at the Big Ten. But first she will be looking to cap off a strong senior year for the Fillies where she is averaging over six kills per set through 11 matches.     Yikes, Dani Hopp was a big miss on our end on the last rankings where she is an electric outside hitter who will be heading to Coastal Carolina. She can do a little bit of everything where she can serve receive, pass, and attack. She is also a big time threat out of the backrow. I was impressed with her shot making ability where she could go high hands, tool the block, or hit a roll shot to keep the defense off balanced. Her Richmond-Burton Rockets are off to an undefeated start and she is averaging over five kills per set.     [player_tooltip player_id='443054' first='Charlie' last='Fleegle'] is going to be a top ten player in the Illinois Class of 2027. She changes the game when she steps onto the court with how she can serve receive, take pace off a hard driven ball, and she's someone who has such great intangibles with how she commands the court. She connects with her teammates, she's calling the shots, she's vocal, she knows how to get it done. She has been a key piece of the rise of Libertyville these past few seasons and will look to cap off a successful career this fall.     [player_tooltip player_id='807775' first='Hannah' last='Herrick'] is one to watch who will be heading to Dayton after her high school ball is over. Dayton has developed quite the reputation in how they develop outside hitters and Herrick has plenty of tools to work with. She has the fundamental base from Sports Performance where she knows how to attack with a high contact point while also mixing up speed and location. She is also one who can be depended upon to put up a clean pass in serve receive. Her Oswego squad is off to an 8-1 start this season.     [player_tooltip player_id='529823' first='Natalie' last='Bochantin'] can put the ball on a dime when it comes to setting. She has been one of the key pieces for Lockport and 1st Alliance. She is a solid defender and can take control of the offense with how she can run a quick tempo as well as a putting her attackers in a favorable spot even when the ball is pulled off the net. Her verbal to UW-Milwaukee is a great fit where the Panthers traditionally run a 6-2 system Bochantin could contribute right away. But first she will look to lead Lockport back to the state tournament.
