Herrick’s long frame is a huge asset to her game as she can be terminal in different ways. Ranked #14 in the current Prep Dig Illinois list, she can produce a high contact point while scoring with good arm control and range that can put a lot of pressure on opposing defenses given how high and well she can strike the ball versus the block in front of her. She is committed to compete for a solid DI program at the University of Dayton.

I don’t even think Herrick was ranked at the beginning of the club season.  With athletes going from 15s to 16s sometimes it takes a bit to get on the radar and rise.  Hannah Herrick Hannah Herrick MB Oswego | 2027 State IL was so impressive this club season for Sports Performance 16 Elite.  She has a lot of length, athleticism, and pop to her swing and I think her best volleyball is still ahead of her.  She can handle a high volume of swings.  There is a full bag of options in her repertoire where she can go hard cross, high line, and mix in a roll shot.  A true point scorer. 

I was able to see Hannah Herrick Hannah Herrick MB Oswego | 2027 State IL live for Sports Performance 16 Elite at Central Zone in Indianapolis to kick off the season and was really impressed with her ability to put the ball away as an outside hitter.  She was a new name for me at the time and seeing her play since, she is rising and going to be a household name in the Illinois Class of 2027.  Her athleticism and length will catch the eye of college coaches, this could be an exciting weekend for SPVB 16 Elite where they are looking to make a statement to the rest of the country.
