The best 80 players have been unveiled in this latest publishing of the 2029 class. We have been watching the 2029 class very closely throughout the entire club & high school season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone's recruiting profiles. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to the rankings due to their individual performances.

Congratulations to Miss Aswad on earning her place on the Prep Dig California Class of 2029 State Ranking List. Few setters in this class have handled a bigger stage at such a young age. She took over as a varsity starter as a freshman and ran an offense all the way to the CIF State Open Division playoffs last year. This year she has gotten even better. After watching her highlight film, the first thing I noticed was how quickly she gets under the ball. Her hands are clean and her release is fast, which lets her push the ball to the pins with real pace. In a sweep of a 33 win Coronado team last week, she handed out 33 assists with seven digs and four aces. She also has the defensive skills of a libero and that background makes her one of the most complete young setters in Southern California. Her serve is a weapon too and it keeps opponents out of system before her offense ever touches the ball. On film she stays square to her target even when she is chasing a pass off the net. Aswad has the poise and vision of a player well beyond her years. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.

Addison finishes points and that is exactly what college coaches want from a pin regardless of which side they are attacking on. The 6'0" sophomore was a Top Performer at the Prep Dig SoCal Freshman Showcase and now she has earned a well deserved spot on the California Class of 2029 State Ranking List. She is averaging three kills per set this fall with 179 kills to her name. Her arm brings controlled power and she makes smart choices with her shots instead of swinging blindly into the block. Watching her highlight reel, I was impressed by how well she opens up to her setter and keeps the ball in front of her hitting shoulder. That approach lets her hit the sharp angle or go high off the hands when the set drifts tight. Underwood also passes at a high level and has taken more than 200 serve receive attempts this season. That kind of all around game is rare for a pin hitter this young. She also has the frame to keep adding power as she develops. Congratulations to Addison on a recognition that is only the beginning.

The jump Miss Leeper made between her freshman and sophomore seasons is one of the best stories in the 2029 class. She has nearly doubled her kills per set this fall and now averages more than four per set with a strong hitting efficiency. That growth is why she has earned a spot on the Prep Dig California Class of 2029 State Ranking List. Leeper attacks with a quick arm and gets her hips through the ball, which gives her power to both the line and the angle. When I dug into her film, her defense stood out just as much as her offense. She reads hitters early and moves with purpose and her discipline in serve receive creates clean transition chances. Her platform stays quiet and she rarely has to rush her feet to get to a ball. She also leads her team in aces and puts pressure on passers from the service line. Outside hitters who can score and defend at this level are always in demand. Congratulations to Chloe on joining one of the most talented classes in the state.
