Colorado Stock Watch: Players Trending Up this Month

October, Pin Edition

The Colorado Stock Watch is getting spooky! This October, we are turning our attention to the pins. These hitters are bringing heat, making plays, and giving us plenty of reasons to move them up the radar.

Some are newer names to Colorado volleyball. Others have already been making noise. Either way, this group is trending in the right direction. From sharp shot selection to big swings and growing confidence, these are five pins worth watching this month!

Abigail Hellen: Trending Up

Abigail Hellen is a newer name on the Colorado volleyball scene, but she is already giving us plenty to talk about. The 2028 outside hitter has been a standout, and her approach is a big reason why. Hellen moves quickly into her attack and gets off the floor with impressive speed. That quick approach helps her find contact above the block and create scoring opportunities. However, she is not simply swinging hard every time. Instead, Hellen shows plenty of creativity with her shot selection. She can work the line, find deep corners, or change things up at the last second. That ability to disguise her intentions keeps defenders guessing. With her athleticism and attacking instincts continuing to develop, Hellen is certainly a name to know and a player trending up this month!

Brooklyn Trammell: A Dynamic Threat

Brooklyn Trammell is certainly not a new name to Prep Dig, but she continues to give us reasons to be excited. This 2031 standout is showing an impressive combination of athleticism, reach, and volleyball IQ. Trammell plays with a level of confidence that stands out for her age. She is already attempting attacks that many hitters are not yet comfortable trying. Plus, she understands how to use her reach to create opportunities at the net. Her versatility adds even more to the picture. Trammell is comfortable passing, attacking, and blocking. She can contribute in multiple phases instead of waiting for one specific opportunity. That all-around ability makes her a true up-and-coming competitor. As her game continues to develop, Trammell is absolutely trending up on the Stock Watch!

Reese Smith: Taking Up Space

We have another Boulder High School name making the Stock Watch! Reese Smith is a 2029 outside hitter with plenty of potential, and her growth is becoming fun to follow. At 6-foot-1, Smith already brings a strong presence to the net. Now, she is learning quickly and continuing to improve her timing and contact. Those small pieces are starting to come together, and that could make her a bigger threat as the season moves along. When Smith gets a strong approach to the ball, she can really attack the corners. She also does not shy away from taking space at the net. On top of that, she brings value in serve receive and can hold her own in the passing game. There is still plenty ahead for this young hitter. However, Smith is showing enough right now to make her a very interesting name to keep on the radar.

Harper Reilly: One to Watch

Harper Reilly is a young 2031 outside hitter who already plays with plenty of confidence. Even at this stage, her mechanics give us a lot to like. Reilly primarily attacks from the right side, but she is not limited to one spot. She can pass and attack from both pins, which gives her plenty of room to grow into a versatile offensive weapon. Her ability to contribute in different areas is what makes her especially intriguing. She brings a strong foundation, competes across the court, and continues to show comfort wherever she is needed. As Reilly gets closer to the high school level, this is a name we will be watching closely. She has the tools to become a big-time threat, and her development will be one to follow!

Jordyn Fox: Bringing the Heat

Jordyn Fox is a 2028 outside hitter who is doing her thing for Holy Family. She brings a fast, disciplined approach to the pin and has plenty of ways to create problems for a block. Her swing starts with a strong wind-up that helps generate power. Then, she finishes with a high snap that can send the ball right off the top of the block. That combination gives Fox a reliable way to attack above the net. She also brings a smart approach to her swings. Fox understands how to use what the block gives her instead of forcing the same shot every time. Add in her energy on the court, and there is a lot to like. Fox is definitely a player to watch this month as she continues bringing the heat!

Who Is Trending Up?

The October Stock Watch is full of pins with different games and plenty of potential. Hellen brings creative shot selection. Trammell continues to show impressive versatility. Smith is developing quickly, while Reilly is showing an exciting foundation for the future. Fox brings power, discipline, and energy to the pin.

That is what makes the Colorado Stock Watch so much fun. These players are not all following the same path, but they are all giving us reasons to keep watching.

This month, the pins are officially bringing the spooky-season heat!

How to Be Apart of Stock Watch

Athletes interested in being evaluated or submitting their teammates for future Stock Watch features can find the submission form linked at the bottom of this article.

For a chance to have yourself or a teammate evaluated for Prep Dig CO Stock Watch, click here.

Submissions do not guarantee coverage or ranking consideration.

For more Colorado volleyball coverage, player features, recruiting content, and more, follow @prepdigcolorado on Instagram!
