Kansas 2030 Watch List Athletes We’re Eager to See in Club

A lot of our insight for this release came from the current high school season, where a select few freshmen have burst onto the prep scene. However, we have so many more 2030s to see once we flip the calendar to next year's club campaign. I can't wait to hit the road and watch paths cross between my Nebraska and Kansas coverage spheres.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>And we're already building a database of names to know next spring. Bates has built a case to be the next in line in the club's long right-side pipeline. She had a stellar spring season with Dynasty 14 Black, culminating in a podium finish in GJNC's 14 Open division. Bates uses her long frame to tower over opposing blockers, and it's already yielding results on the prep side, too. This Rose Hill freshman was a serve-receive workhorse for this year's Shockwave 141 crew, taking up large chunks of the court in the middle-back area. She's gearing up for a new phase of her club career with KNVBC and will be an immediate force across the end line. We've seen Spies excel in the contrasting jersey or a key substitute role, and that flexibility should be a game-changer at the 15s level. She joined many of her Shockwave peers in displaying almost any skill you'd want from a six-rotation leader. Shockwave 141 Black harnessed Moutray's athleticism in various ways, getting her involved in front of the setter and behind. Her southpaw swing is a natural fit for the opposite position, where she can get on top of the ball quickly and carve crosscourt shots inside the block. This physical freshman is already setting a scorching scoring pace for the Broncs, teeing off in the middle or on the pin. We're constantly drawn to these do-everything attackers who can make the most of any set at any spot along the net. That's an apt way to describe Michaelis influence with Lakin, and she'll make a similar splash with Southwest Pursuit this spring. Hallenbeck is slated to compete with the PVA 15 National lineup, where her imposing physicality will give the team plenty of lineup options. This is an exceptional "change-up hitter" who can adapt to various tempos. Hallenbeck's latest reps with Olathe Northwest have come on the pins, but don't discount her ability to anchor operations in the middle. Her well-rounded, high-energy style is already a big hit in the Blue Valley Southwest gym. This six-rotation outside hitter elevates well on the left side and has a knack for turning down the line to exploit open territory. But aside from her scoring prowess, Remboldt can also raise the standard through her relentless defensive hustle and sprawling saves in the middle-back area. Like Remboldt, Wood has quickly added to her high school highlight tape while contributing to every phase of the game. She's a calm, confident floor defender who also offers some eye-catching athleticism in the frontcourt.
