GJNC 14 and 15 National IA, IL, and WI Names To Know

<p>The engines have started, and we're off for USAV Nationals with the 14s and 15s.  I was able to zero in on the 14 and 15 National Division with teams from Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin.  I am still getting to know the Class of 2029 and 2030 and this is a great chance for me to see them all under one roof. </p>   <p>Teams are opening with pool play today and will cap it off tomorrow which will set them up for challenge matches on day three. Day four they will close their 2026 club season.  </p>   <p>How does a name make the list?  I am looking for new names, performances where it could be something as small as someone showing a ton of energy for team or the obvious big swings and kills to put points on the board. Here are some names to know from day one! </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">What a fun vibe 1st Alliance 15 Black brings to the court. They started out on fire against Six Pack where [player_tooltip player_id='983455' first='Maeve' last='Bergin'] really controlled the tempo from the setter position. She just glides on the court, remains under control, and is tough to read for defenders. She's not afraid to go against the grain to spread the defense thin. She also defends her base really well, committing to a good first touch before transitioning to set. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">A non-negotiable for Liberos is having a presence. [player_tooltip player_id='761969' first='Reese' last='Newton'] of [program_tooltip program_id='432009' first='Sky' last='High'] 15 Elite made her presence known. She brings energy to the court with how she moves, her voice, and how she interacts with her team. Being court side I could hear her calling out what was open to her attackers. She was really good when it came to picking up the awkward free balls or second contacts to her pins. She can be depended upon to handle a high volume in serve receive as well as take pace off the ball keeping her side in system. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='915851' first='Avery' last='Bossingham'] of Madtown 151 always plays with maturity and composure. I was able to see her at the Prep Dig Gauntlet in early June and again today competing in the 15 National Division. She brings calm to the chaos, she does a great job of getting her attackers a favorable matchup to score points. In between plays she is connecting with her teammates whether it's a high five, eye contact, or an extra boost. Madtown has themselves in position to get a gold challenge match on day three with early wins today. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">I like seeing outsides take a rip with aggression. That was 11 for Iowa Select. Whether they were in or out of system she was willing to swing big to put the other side in a state of confusion and chaos. I was able to watch this team back in early March and saw their potential. They are the Iowa Region champs and have shown solid growth where they have athletes who could contribute at the varsity level as freshmen in a couple months. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='880101' first='Miranda' last='Voights'] was key at the end of the [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite']/Fusion match to kick off 14 National Division play. She is a lengthy and physical right side who is able to make the smart shots over the block or use the block to her advantage. This was essential towards the end of their match in the comeback win over Fusion in set two.
