Additions to the Player of the Year Watchlist

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Injuries are unfortunately a part of sports, and the injury bug has hit two players on our watchlist with season-ending injuries. As in sports—and in life—the games must go on, and that means it's next woman up. Stepping into our 25-player watchlist are two outstanding 4A players from Morrilton and Harrison. Through 11 sets, she already has 50 kills, 15 aces and 42 digs while handling 52 service receptions with only one error.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harbin is building on a junior season where she finished with 206 kills, 61 aces and 210 digs on her way to earning All-State honors.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I like the variety she brings to the court. Lily has several different shots in her bag and can find ways to score without just trying to overpower the defense. She is also a slick back-row defender and gives Morrilton another weapon from the service line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The numbers show just how important she has been early. Harbin has 50 of Morrilton's 120 kills and 15 of their 34 aces while sitting in the top two in almost every statistical category for the Devil Dogs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>She is an offensive juggernaut who can impact the game in a lot of different ways. Jennings has been a varsity contributor since her freshman year and has put together a strong career for the Goblins. In 216 sets, she has amassed 442 kills, 161 blocks, 26 aces and 60 digs, while even dishing out 11 assists along the way.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Those numbers are climbing quickly. Through 24 sets this season, Jennings already has 70 kills, 14 blocks, 10 aces and 18 digs. She has also handled 19 serve receptions without an error.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jennings can take over a match on either side of the net. She has reached 13 kills twice already this season and is averaging 2.9 kills per set. She gives Harrison a big presence in the middle and is someone opponents have to account for every time she rotates to the front row.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What makes Harrison interesting is that Jennings isn't carrying the offense by herself. [player_tooltip player_id='1037023' first='Holly' last='Keeter'] is right behind her with 62 kills, and the Goblins already have six players with at least 29 kills while hitting .211 as a team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jennings leads the way, but there are plenty of options around her.
