The junior setter's playmaking truly helped the team overcome difficult moments in the match, and she did a great job in leading the team to win set one despite not having some of her top options as the Spartans struggled with their passing. Reyes' distribution was on point from start to finish as she did a great job of understanding what the game required and responding to it accordingly. The setter also served well, having a major role in the Spartans' victory in set four, and delivered solid production on defense.

Okwura's performance was pivotal in Seven Lakes' victory, and the match started going their way when she stepped up and dominated the net on both sides of the ball. The junior middle had a quiet performance on set one, but improved after that and was unstoppable offensively, scoring at a very high rate from the middle, the left and the right. Okwura's blocking was also a big factor, as she not only produced in high volume, but also came up with stops in key moments of the match. The middle took set five over and helped Seven Lakes pave the way for a comfortable victory by scoring a handful of points early on.

Faidi's consistency and efficiency provided invaluable balance for a Seven Lakes team that had some ups and downs during the match. Typically a secondary scoring option for the Spartans, the senior right side stepped up in the most challenging district match of the season and produced at a high level for them. Faidi was very good offensively, scoring from the right and the left and using her interesting combination of power and vision to put the ball down in key moments. A very technical player, she also supported Seven Lakes' serve-receive system in two rotations, taking some pressure off their outside hitters.

Seven Lakes' go-to scorer also ended the match much better than she started it, stepping up in big moments to help the team claim a hard-fought win on the road. The senior outside hitter made great use of her length when set at the pin, consistently sending the ball into great locations and making very few errors. Hobin also saw the ball a lot at the middle back position and was very efficient from there, too, finding great angles in her swings. She struggled with her passing in a couple of moments, but made up for that with strong production on defense.

Johnk was Tompkins' most consistent and efficient player, and her production on both sides of the ball helped the Falcons challenge a strong Seven Lakes team. The senior outside hitter had a high usage rate and was very resourceful in scoring points, registering 13 kills and using tips, shots and tooling the block when in a difficult situation. Johnk was also very efficient in serve-receive, having the team's second-highest mark of 32 passes. The outside hitter also contributed 12 digs, two aces and a block in a solid all-around performance.

Sodipo's strong presence at the net helped Tompkins challenge Seven Lakes' strong middles and compete with them at a high level. The sophomore middle wasn't much involved offensively, registering only three kills, but her blocking made a big impact in the game. Sodipo led the Falcons with four blocks and most of them were on Seven Lakes' star middle [player_tooltip player_id='947318' first='Willtrace' last='Ngoh'], helping slow down one of their opponents' main scoring weapons. She also did well in 50-50 balls and was very aggressive with her arms at the net, creating problems for opponents.

St. Rose produced well in different areas of the game and was a key player for Tompkins.
