Over the last few months, we’ve provided you a lot of information about who are the players you won’t want to miss when the high school volleyball season starts in Washington next March. First, we broke the players down by division and then we switched gears to analyze who are expected to be the most outstanding athletes in the top teams of each of those divisions.

For the next several weeks, we’ll dive even deeper, taking a closer look at each of the 46 district leagues in the state of Washington and pointing out the players we believe will be worth your attention in the near future.

The final stop of our series is the 4A Wesco district, home of State Championship runners-up Lake Stevens and four other high schools. Their three best players are:

There’s a lot to love about [player_tooltip player_id="96983" first="Samaya" last="Morin"]’s game and the world has already noticed it considering she was part of both the All-State and All-League first teams in 2019 and already determined the next step of her volleyball career by committing to play beach volleyball for the Grand Canyon University. The 6’1” outside hitter is a complete player who was the ability to be a force at the net, as she did in 2019 by registering 322 kills, but is also more than capable of impacting every other aspect of the game as her 47 aces, 21 blocks, 228 digs and 212 passes showed. Morin is the fourth top prospect in prepdig.com’s class of 2021 ranking.

[player_tooltip player_id="97032" first="Danica" last="Pel"] – Libero – Senior – Kamiak

[player_tooltip player_id="97032" first="Danica" last="Pel"] certainly made the most of the opportunities she had last season as the 5’2” libero received an All-State team honorable mention even if Kamiak didn’t get to compete at the State Championship. That award and her inclusion in the All-League first team were both extremely fair in light of her fantastic campaign with the Knights which saw her end the season with 318 digs (3.9 per set) and 393 passes. She currently ranks 53rd in prepdig.com’s class of 2021 ranking.

[player_tooltip player_id="96985" first="Karli" last="Tri"] – Middle-Blocker – Senior – Lake Stevens

[player_tooltip player_id="96985" first="Karli" last="Tri"] is easily the best middle-blocker in the district and she’s right up there with the top in the entire state as her strong 2019 performances showed. The 6’2” Lake Stevens’ net patroller was a stud for the Vikings on offense with 157 kills and also produced 51 blocks during the course of the team’s State Championship run. Tri, the sixth-placed student-athlete at prepdig.com’s class of 2021 rankings, made it to both the All-State and All-League first teams last year. After last season, she’s committed to play collegiate volleyball for Western Washington University.
