Brown, a pin hitter for Aspire NW 18-1, has both the offensive and defensive prowess necessary to be a standout player. Although she’s a bit undersized, Brown can jump high, and with a fast and powerful swing she can put the ball away. Brown is especially skilled on defense, using good reads and quick reactions to make incredible plays.

Why the rise? Brown has steadily risen in the ranks each season. This last high school season for the Barlow Bruins, all eyes were on Brown. She shouldered a massive load as a six-rotation outside hitter and was a go-to attacker for the team. Her play was a big piece in their five-set win versus crosstown rivals Nelson. She received Mt. Hood First Team All-League for her play. At 5’8”, she is skilled in both the front and back row and can be utilized as an attacker or a defensive specialist, a role she primarily carried on her club team last season. This club season, you can find her competing with Aspire NW 18-1, and I will be curious to see where Brown is utilized. With her steady ball control, smart attacking, and sheer athleticism, she will be a great pick up for a collegiate program.

Outside hitter Brown was an imperative piece of Barlow’s lineup this fall, and she earned 6A Mt. Hood Conference First-Team honors as a result of her steady all-around play. Brown is a super versatile attacker, able to move her hits around the court with ease and put the ball away consistently. From the baseline, Brown showcases a tough jump float serve that proves tricky to pass. The attacker will be playing for a talented Aspire NW 18-1 team this club season, and it will be fun to see how she shines.
