Up now, pins (pt. 1)!
Andrews, the top recruit for the class of 2026 and a six-rotation outside hitter for Athena 17-1, is an incredible all-around athlete. Andrews showcases a versatile arsenal of shots, using her high volleyball IQ and whip of an arm to put the ball away from the pins and the pipe. Andrews is also a technical and controlled passer on serve receive and defense.
Highlights
The #2 outside hitter for the class of 2024, Arnett is the total package. Playing for NPJ 18 Forefront, Arnett is an offensive weapon from the left pin, combining an explosive approach with a super quick and dynamic arm swing to put the ball away. In the back row, Arnett reads hitters well to make fast defensive plays. She also attacks well from middle back.
Hitting outside for NPJ Salem 17 National, Blake is an unstoppable force from the left pin. Blake is quick on transition, and with an explosive, aggressive approach, big vertical, and hammer of an arm, Blake consistently buries the ball. She can also hit off speed effectively to score, and she’s not afraid to use the block in front of her to her advantage.
Highlights
Brewer, a six-rotation outside hitter for NPJ Salem 16 National, is a super physical, all-around talented athlete. Standing at 6’1” and jumping out of the gym, Brewer gets up high to hit the ball over many of the blocks she faces. She also finds holes on the court easily and has an impressive arsenal of shots. Brewer is a weapon from the back row, too.
Brown, a pin hitter for Aspire NW 18-1, has both the offensive and defensive prowess necessary to be a standout player. Although she’s a bit undersized, Brown can jump high, and with a fast and powerful swing she can put the ball away. Brown is especially skilled on defense, using good reads and quick reactions to make incredible plays.
The Athena 17-1 lefty Emerson is quite a force from the right side. Emerson has an explosive, bouncy approach and her arm swing is incredibly quick, both of which allow her to easily push the ball over, through, and around the block. The #1 right side for the class of 2025 is also skilled at drilling the ball down the line or cross court at even the sharpest of angles.
Highlights
Fairbairn, one of the six-rotation outside hitters on Webfoot 18-1, is a very powerful, physical player with a hammer of an arm. Fairbairn adjusts well to any set and is a dynamic attacker, able to hit from either pin or out of the pipe successfully. The Biola commit is also a solid defensive player, moving laterally in middle back well to keep the ball alive.
Gould, the #1 right side for the class of 2024 and an Oregon commit, hits the ball straight down with her incredibly quick arm swing and her explosive approach. The left-handed attacker and NPJ 18 Forefront player has such an impressive hitting range, moving the ball from down the line to sharp cross court without difficulty. Gould also puts up a big block that stops opposing outside hitters effectively.
Green, another outside hitter on Webfoot 18-1 and the #2 outside hitter for the class of 2025, makes attacking look effortless. Standing at 6’2”, the Oregon State commit soars over blockers to put the ball down. She also sees the court well and makes smart shots into open court or hits off the block to score. Defensively, Green is a steady passer, and she puts up a wall of a block.
