Hitting opposite Elgarico on the NPJ Salem 16 National team was Madsen, who dominated out of the middle during Regionals by putting up a big block that proved hard to hit around. Madsen has improved her quickness in transition, which has helped her become an even stronger attacker; that speed, combined with Madsen’s fast and powerful arm swing and ability to get on top of the ball, proved deadly whenever Madsen was set throughout the tournament.

Madsen was an impressive pickup for the NPJ 15-1 team, previously playing for OJVA 15-1. She showcased a lot of improvement over the past year, honing in on her craft in the middle. She is fast in transition and consistently makes herself available to her setter. Tall and athletic, she is well on her way to being a top middle blocker coming out of the state of Oregon for her class.

Madsen’s improvement over the last club season with OJVA 15-1 was insane, to say the least. She went from being a fairly under the radar recruit coming into her freshman season to one of the top middle blockers in the 2026 class. She has a lot of good things going for her already, she is tall, athletic, and quick. She is fast in transition and consistently makes herself available to her setter.
