<p>We always look forward to learning about new players over the year. Unfortunately, players fall through the cracks in our attempt to cover the whole state. We are grateful for the videos and stats to introduce us to new faces. Here are some players we discovered this fall who make an impression and entered our updated rankings. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="172456" first="Fisayo" last="Afonja"] - MB - Baldwin</strong></p>
<p>Honorable mention All-State in 2021, Afonja had a monster year for Baldwin. 340 kills at a .373 hitting percentage were her offensive stat line. She can play on the pin at the next level with her agility and scoring ability. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="172454" first="Jacqueline" last="Corcoran"] - OH - Circle</strong></p>
<p>Corcoran snatched up first-team All-State honors in her sophomore year for a 35 win Circle team. She delivered for her team when it matter, garnering 379 kills and 266 digs this fall. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="119810" first="Anna" last="Laincz"] - OH - Lansing</strong></p>
<p>Laincz was a welcomed surprise for the state champion Lions in 2021 almost doubling her production from her freshman year. She had 172 kills on the year. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="172452" first="Camryn" last="Hutchinson"] - S - Smith Center</strong></p>
<p>43 wins are a lot in a year but that's what Smith Center earned behind the play of Hutchinson. The setter, who will also be looked at as a defender had just under 700 assists as one of the primary ball handlers. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="172455" first="Emery" last="Keebaugh"] - OH - Ottawa</strong></p>
<p>The 5'10" Keebaugh was dynamite in her second season, earning first-team Class 4A All-State honors. She led the way with 454 kills and 289 digs. She is a very athletic player who can play at the next level. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="119730" first="Ashlynn" last="Jaccard"] - MB - Lansing</strong></p>
<p>State championship teams need good role players and Jaccard was great in her role to jump into our latest rankings. She played in spots throughout the season but was clutch down the stretch with against Maize and Maize South. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="223545" first="Elizabeth" last="Goodwin"] - MB - St. James</strong></p>
<p>Goodwin was huge for St. James in her sophomore year. She stepped up and put up big numbers to help get the team to the state tournament. She had 193 kills and 34 blocks. Her potential is through the roof. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="119702" first="Kylee" last="Johnston"] - DS/L - Oswego</strong></p>
<p>Johnston entered the rankings after a solid season for Oswego. In 44 sets, she grabbed 156 digs and 239 receptions </p>
