Jaccard is another “undersized” middle who we think will be really good on the pin. Even at 5’9″, she still proved to be one of the top performers in the middle over the course of the day. She uses her quickness and quick snap on her swings to find the floor. She reads the block well and uses that awareness to be effective. Another plus in her game we saw was her transition play off the net. Lansing benefited from her play this fall with 227 kills and 62 blocks.

Among the many talented middle blockers at this event, few could terminate off of one foot like Jaccard. The Power ‘ last=”]’] athlete got in a great rhythm attacking behind the setter, even when she was paired up with some unfamiliar faces at that setter spot. That’s a true indicator of a well-rounded, adaptable middle blocker.
