Welcome to 2022! We are officially transitioning into club season and are excited to be doing so. Introducing some of the top recruits in the state from the Class of 2022 is as good a place to start as any and that’s what we’ve done below. Check out these six senior standouts.

[player_tooltip player_id="162752" first="Lucia" last="Scalamandre"], 6-1 MB, Sunshine – Scalamandre fits right in with this Sunshine 18 LA group and is yet another top recruit helping to fill out the impressive roster. She moves well in the middle and that allows her to make herself available and ready to be part of the attack. She’s headed to Princeton.

[player_tooltip player_id="162751" first="Olivia" last="Johnson"], 6-4 MB, Coast – Johnson was a good signee for Arizona State, the college where Johnson is headed to next fall. She can be a commanding presence in the middle. And with her height can go over the block and cause trouble for defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id="159959" first="Peyton" last="DeJardin"], 6-0 OH, San Gabriel Elite – A Cal signee, DeJardin possesses strong ball control and passing in serve receive. She’s also a smart, heady player when it comes to attacking making for a good combo.

[player_tooltip player_id="162745" first="Emma" last="Rhodes"], 5-11 OH/RS, Forza1 South – Rhodes has consistently worked on her game and it’s why she’s considered among the top players in the state for her class. UC Santa Barbara is getting good versatility with her ability to attack well from either pin.

[player_tooltip player_id="162746" first="Kenadie" last="Patterson"], 6-4 MB, Omni – There’s no substitute for size in the middle and that’s exactly what Patterson brings to the position. It makes her a tough cover as well as a capable blocker. She’s signed with Pepperdine.

[player_tooltip player_id="159528" first="Jordyn" last="Schilling"], 6-0 L, Mizuno Long Beach – Schilling started off as an outside but her ball control skills and defensive prowess allowed her to make the seamless switch to libero. She’s signed with West Virginia.
