Ohio 15U Teams to See at GJNC

<p>Several Ohio teams are making final preparations for the upcoming USA Volleyball GJNC in Indianapolis. Here are some teams and 2025 prospects to see.</p> <p><em><strong>15 Open</strong></em></p> <p>NKYVC qualified multiple teams to the open level and will be represented well with a bevy of teams competing across all divisions. Their 15U team features one of the best setters in Ohio in this class in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="152344" first="Emsley" last="Venard"]</strong>. Other Ohio prospects on this squad feature middle/opposite <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="152345" first="Lucy" last="Perkins"]</strong> and the versatility that role player <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="176098" first="Grace" last="Crider"]</strong> brings on the pins. Many of their teammates represent some of the best high school programs in the state of Kentucky to round out this roster. </p> <p><em><strong>15 National</strong></em></p> <p>One of the best surprises in Ohio has the OPVC’s 15-Wagner team that has showcased their talent and balance all season and enter the GJNC with potential to make waves. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="179059" first="Olivia" last="Weiseman"]</strong> is a talented setter that has great touch and location and is surrounded by a solid collection of attackers. The athletic <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="179022" first="Mariah" last="Gaines"]</strong> can bring power and range on the left side and pairs with the length of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="152062" first="Kaylie" last="McIntosh"]</strong> to make a great offensive tandem out there. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="195854" first="Vittoria" last="Cravens"]</strong> gets the job done on the right side of the court. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="152051" first="Madeline" last="Gosky"]</strong> is the primary libero and the offense is completed by the middle options in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151983" first="Raegan" last="Waller"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151982" first="Camille" last="Burton"]</strong>, both who have good skills on both sides of the ball. Be sure to catch this team in action as they play very well together and have a variety weapons around the floor. </p> <p>Three arms to see that represent Elevation 15 Crofton include the dynamic action from <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="176087" first="Katie" last="Gielas"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151958" first="Allie" last="Barrick"]</strong> on the outside. These pair has potential to rival any left side duo in this event with their all-around skills and point scoring production. In the middle is the athletic and aggressive <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="195856" first="Lindy" last="Radaszewski"]</strong>. At 5’11 she is a 10’ touch prospect and has good physicality with her arm at the peak of her jump. She may be the most important piece for this team with her ability to add big offense to free up their pins and in how well she defends at the net. </p> <p><em><strong>15 American</strong></em></p> <p>Mintonette’s 15s have an opportunity to ahead of them that could see them finish near the top of the final standings. Pin hitter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151968" first="Teagan" last="Ng"]</strong> is a 2024 prospect playing in her age group with this team and has provides good offense on the left side. The pins also see point scoring from <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="152041" first="Presley" last="Stokes"]</strong>.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="151965" first="Kylah" last="McNeal"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151966" first="Kennedi" last="Culp"]</strong> handle the work in the middle as both are athletic and have improved their point scoring availability and in adding defensive pressure at the net. Setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151967" first="Larsen" last="Terrill"]</strong> continues to emerge as one of the best in this class in Ohio.</p> <p>Another team that has been a nice surprise this season is ECJ 15-1. They are led by the setting savvy and floor leadership of<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="151988" first="Ella" last="Jackson"]</strong>. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="152049" first="Kayla" last="Channell"]</strong> has great length in the middle and provides a big presence both offensively and defensively. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151989" first="Sofia" last="Smotek"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="152048" first="Sophie" last="Jurcevic"]</strong> are the primary arms at the pins that help create good offensive depth for this team. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151973" first="Kameron" last="Stover"]</strong> is a complete player and brings a lot of tools and leadership to the court for A2 15-1. <strong>Evelyn Brown</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151975" first="Maggie" last="Rolwing"]</strong> are middles that continue to improve their transition work in their spacing and timing to be offensive options. <strong>Finely Sparks</strong> offers athleticism and an aggressive arm on the pin while setters <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="195619" first="Madison" last="Lacy"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="195855" first="Jillian" last="Given"]</strong> share the distribution role in their offense. </p>
