Waller’s dynamic middle had a strong offensive performance. Winfrey displayed an interesting ability to hit several different sets in the middle and kept Cy Ranch’s blockers on their toes because of her impressive variation – she was particularly more effective hitting a shoot set near the pin and the slide set. Although undersized against the Mustangs’ taller middles, she worked hard and played with a lot of energy and battled them.

Winfrey is the heart and soul of her Waller team. An undersized middle, she plays with incredible energy at the net and sets the tone for her teammates when it comes to battling opponents. Despite her limited size, she’s incredibly athletic and goes neck to neck against anyone across the net. Winfrey is excellent at quickly getting to the pins when blocking and does a very good job of taking space up from opposing hitters. On offense, she hits a very quick set in the middle with a lot of power and can be difficult to stop.

Winfrey stood out in her Texas Tornados 17 Adidas team that got a fifth-place finish with three wins and two losses. A versatile player, she stepped up in the middle and made up for her lack of size with tremendous energy. Winfrey was very productive with her blocking, using her excellent footwork to move at the net and playing very aggressively with her arms. Offensively, she benefited from her great vertical to get into good spots to swing and didn’t hold anything back, hitting with a lot of power. She was also a positive influence on her teammates, celebrating points with great enthusiasm and affecting the team’s mood on the court.
