The team is at 11-2 overall and has some of the top-ranked players in the state at their respective positions. Depth is no issue, with two quality setters and a mix of pins that can compete from either side and three hard-working middles. Did we mention a libero who covers everything? They have that too! Expect this team to be in the mix as one of the top 16U teams in the Pacific Northwest. The next opportunity to shine is a challenging weekend at the Sports Performance Presidents Day tournament in Aurora, Illinois.
Terrell has been featured in the opposite position during the NWPL and MLK Kickoff tournaments for WVBA and has played outside as well. She had a breakout season at Lake Washington, including a 22-kill eruption against Kelso at the state tournament. She is unafraid to challenge the block with her heavy swing, and that results in deflections off high hands that can’t be tracked down by the opposing team. She has been solid in serve-receive and is a gritty and hard-working defender.
Highlights
Eichert is right at the top of the prospects in Washington State for the 2026 class. The freshman burst on the scene at Lake Stevens, helping to drive a deep run at the state tournament. She is a six-rotation outside for WVBA Adidas, playing middle back on defense to take advantage of her ability to attack from the pipe. Watching her during the first month of the club season, she has increased her ability to deliver kills with a variety of shots. Have no doubt, the deep corner hammer is in place, and she will rip it from the back row, now there is also a chip or roll in transition. She is scoring with a soft shot to the campfire out of the back row and working the line and hard angle when it’s there. A dynamic attacker who has a high ceiling as a player overall.

Highlights
The WVBA team has been running a 5-1, and Katelyn Eichert Katelyn Eichert 5’8″ | S Lake Stevens | 2024 State WA is one of two athletic setters the team has to run the show. Her footwork patterns have been consistent and locked in, and the set location and tempo have been on point. She can take a pass when forced to backpedal, plant her feet and push it out to the pin or leave it in the perfect spot for the pipe attack. She is an easy mover, flowing to the first contact when it’s past the 10-foot line and adjusting her set to make it easy on her hitters. A left-handed dump is emerging as an offensive weapon, Eichert does a great job using the setter attack wisely, keeping her hitters in a groove and the defense off-balance.
Highlights
Dorcht is a strong six rotation outside from Seattle Prep, and she is one of the primary players in serve receive for the team. When attacking from the pin she is a low error hitter, while still taking a max swing and ripping the ball when the opportunity is there. Dorcht is easily able to get down and dig out a ball, chase a roll shot to the corner or handle a hard shot right at her. She stays on balance with her feet positioned under her defensively, and when she adjusts to a set offensively her footwork keeps her in a solid attacking position.
Highlights
Eastwood is wearing #13 for WVBA this season, so far it’s been lucky for her and the team. The team is 11-2 on the season thus far, and everyone has been contributing, including the dynamic player from Jackson High School. Eastwood is a stat stuffer and is athletic enough to garner her share of kills and blocks from the setter spot. She is well accustomed to making plays on 50/50 balls at the net and is difficult to beat on the joust. Her footspeed stands out, and Eastwood will run down an errant pass and give her hitters a set they can work with.
Highlights
Cheyenne MacLeod Cheyenne MacLeod 5'9" | OH Woodinville | 2025 State WA
Cheyenne MacLeod Cheyenne MacLeod 5'9" | OH Woodinville | 2025 State WA
MacLeod moves easily in transition and on the block, playing bigger than her listed 5’9 height. An honorable mention selection in the KingCo 4A Division, she knows how to help her setters out, using a hard angle tip to score even on a set that might not be perfect.
The rangy 2025 middle showed off excellent footwork closing the block during the first two competitions of the season. Fredrickson was a key part of her Cedar Park Christian team as a sophomore and brings excellent length and athleticism to the WVBA frontline. Much like her fellow middle Jill Frye Jill Frye 6’2″ | MB Shorewood | 2025 State WA , Fredrickson can take a swing from the pin if the team needs to mix it up and get out of a tough rotation.
Lucia Schneider
Lucia Schneider
Schneider is a Seattle Prep sophomore who is working on the right side primarily during the early part of the season. She is a fundamentally sound attacker from the pin, and she works hard to be available to her setters in transition. She found the seam in the block on several of her attempts and has a good feel for dropping in a tip to score at the right moment.
Victoria Gao Victoria Gao 5'6" | DS/L Lakeside | 2025 State WA handles the libero spot for the team, one of the top defenders in the state. Gao was featured recently in the 8 Libero’s Passing the Test article, and her play has lived up to t ranking in the early part of the season. Jill Frye Jill Frye 6'2" | MB Shorewood | 2025 State WA is another outstanding, versatile middle who measures 6’2 and made a big impact for her Shorewood team this school season.
