Here we go! Volume 2 of Top TX Talen at Triple Crown is out now! We couldn't just leave you with volume 1 when there are so many great 2025s to look at. This is a great class of athletes with a lot to offer, so take a look at volume 2 below.

[player_tooltip player_id='179916' first='Olivia' last='Wayne'] /// [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='[program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last='']' last=''] 16N Green

Middle blocker [player_tooltip player_id='179916' first='Olivia' last='Wayne'] may be a bit of an under-the-radar player, but she definitely holds her own and then some at her position. At first, she seems very methodical at her position, executing efficiently, but she brings out a heavy arm and smart tips a few plays in. She is dedicated to running her routes, and you will often see her setter tee up tight sets to her, even on the slide. Her length at the net makes her a force on the slide, as she likes to run it wide. She is definitely in the conversation as one of the elite middles in her class.

[player_tooltip player_id='212731' first='Mackenzie' last='Collins'] /// [program_tooltip program_id='431166' first='Houston' last='Juniors'] 16 Elite

Another excellent middle to watch, this time out of the Houston area, [player_tooltip player_id='212731' first='Mackenzie' last='Collins'] should be in this conversation. Mackenzie's 6'1 frame and insane verticle, give her a competitive edge over most her age. She can jump out of the gym and is very fast. She is so quick to the ball that sometimes she struggles to get a full-powered swing in, but when she does, defenders better be ready. Mackenzie definitely delivers on strong talented athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='180168' first='Sarah' last='Mendoza'] /// Drive Nation 16 Red

Drive Nation libero [player_tooltip player_id='180168' first='Sarah' last='Mendoza'] just had a huge showing at Tour of Texas over the weekend where her team won first place. I am excited to see her play against the best in the country to see how she competes. She fits in very well with an already very solid offensive team, and she holds her own on the back row. Her 5'8 size gives her a lot of range in serve receive, and she is able to play a lot of the court by herself. Sarah is an integral part of her team's early season success.

[player_tooltip player_id='180177' first='Kaelynn' last='Sims'] /// Skyline 16 Royal

Middle blocker [player_tooltip player_id='180177' first='Kaelynn' last='Sims'] is a monster in the middle in the best way. She is quick, has great ball tracking, and makes a great read on the block. She has an excellent close move blocking pin to pin and she seems to get her hands on a lot of balls. She is excellent in transition hitting quick sets from the middle and the slide. She is also agile enough to be an effective hitter out of serve receive, hitting on the pin very well when needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='212732' first='Ella' last='Coleman'] /// Alamo 16 Premier

Pin hitter [player_tooltip player_id='212732' first='Ella' last='Coleman'] has had a great start to the 2023 club season. While she can hit pin to pin, she has a nasty swing down the line from the right side that is so hard to defend. She does a good job of staying open to the court, reading the block, and finding the hole. She definitely exploits weaknesses in the block and will attack it. Ella has a heavy arm swing to go with her high volleyball IQ which is always fun to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='254289' first='Piper' last='Mickenheim'] /// Excel 16N Red

Top-tier Dallas area libero [player_tooltip player_id='254289' first='Piper' last='Mickenheim'] has been elite over the last year. Her school season really excelled her skills and competitive nature. Her block coverage and tip coverage are unmatched. She keeps the ball off the floor using whatever means necessary and truly tries to touch every ball she can. Her team gives her 50% of the court in defense which is well deserved after watching her ability to cover both short and deep parts of the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='209454' first='Ruth' last='Ochelli'] /// Houston SKyline 16 Black

I really like [player_tooltip player_id='209454' first='Ruth' last='Ochelli'] for her versatility offensively. She is willing to play any position needed and is athletic enough to do it well. While she plays pin hitter for school, she plays middle for club and is excellent at both. I think her versatility on offense is exactly what will make her stand out at Triple Crown. She has a quick snap at the end of her swings which catches a lot of defenders off guard, and I have seen plenty of defenders get tagged by one of Ruth's swings.
