About Edie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My experiences playing in qualifiers, 15U National finals, and playing as the starting libero for a 5A school since my freshman year, I have developed the ability to remain calm in difficult situations and focused throughout a match. I can quickly recover from any setbacks and am determined to reach my goals. I am super competitive and coaches often describe my style of play as smooth.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a positive player and a very focused player. I work hard off of the court, whether that is in practice, lessons, lifting, or my studies.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have given lessons to younger players and enjoy sharing my love the game.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership skills are something I've worked hard to develop. I strive to lead by example and set high expectations for myself and my team. In addition to supporting my teammates, I have always maintained great communication with my coaches. I am open to feedback and continue to look for opportunities to learn and grow.

Miller made a name for herself in Iowa volleyball circles years ago. The Dayton commitment has worked hard to not rest on her laurels and continue to improve. It’s led to her Liberty and Rockets teams winning a lot of matches. For the Lightning, she’s piled up 1,633 digs in her three seasons, the last two of which opponents went well out of their way in avoiding her. Her 337 assists speak to a skill in setting up the pin off of the two ball. Miller finds success with quickness laterally and with her reflexes. And she’s smart. Miller rarely is out of position, flows well with the action and reads the attack very well. She picks up information throughout matches and uses it to her advantage. Miller is a clear leader on the court and makes players around her better. She’s competitive and plays with a high motor. Miller was all of those things at the 2026 Adidas Windy City National Qualifier Easter weekend in Chicago. She’ll be even better for Liberty in the fall, and it will be fun watching her compete with the Flyers after that.
