Hurley’s calm on the court is more than noticeable, making her a great leader. Hurley does a variety of short and long sets for the Blue Devils including back sets. Hurley has been in sync with the hitters she’s been playing with for a long time. She’s done a good job learning the younger hitters and adjusting to them. Hurley said it comes down to knowing which hitters are on and where they want balls set, trying to figure out what works for both of them.

Hurley was a bright spot for the Blue Devils in a tough season last year. Hurley has nice arcs to her sets giving hitters plenty of options. Hurley brings Henry Clay versatility. She hustles to balls defensively and throws in setter dumps to different spots on the court for kills. Hurley has shown she can win jousts at the net and smack down overpassed balls. Hurley has a nice serve to the back left corner that can be difficult to handle. Hurley had 311 assists for Henry Clay this past fall.
