Lawson (pictured) is displaying her versatility this year as a setter and hitter. She makes plays at all six spots on the court. She does the back set and is a great communicator on the court. Lawson tools blocks and tips over them to keep opponents guessing. Lawson forms nice double blocks with teammates and sends over tough serves. Lawson even sends free balls over with a purpose. Lawson has also nicely stepped into a leadership role. Lawson said her teammates believing in her helps with that.

Kelsie brings a intensity to the court with her play! She puts herself where she needs to be following the play exceptionally well with excellent speed and a relentlessness to get there! She moves down the net stealthily and has a great swing block with a hefty vertical and good timing. She has an excellent text book approach that powers her up for a great swing with a nice release and accumulating kills! She wastes no time repositioning herself on the court and goes flat out every rotation! She covers well and is effective anywhere on the court! She is an enthusiastic player that supports her teammates well and has uses her strengths wisely! We absolutely loved her play!

Lawson provides a sound presence in the middle for the Bluegrass Reign 17s team. Lawson gives the team sound swings and recovers quickly after opponents block her shots to keep plays alive. Lawson is tough on the slide hit.
