Sky High has a really exciting team who has found ways to win tight matches consistently throughout the past couple seasons. A strong and steady defender for this team is Charlie Fleege. She is the top libero in the Illinois Class of 2028 where she knows how to anticipate, make the difficult plays look routine, and has great intangibles with her on court presence. The Sky High 17 Adidas team will compete in 17 Open at MEQ where they are carrying an American bid out of the Great Lakes Region Qualifier. This is a sneaky team who will be able to knock off some top squads with their grit.

She was the queen of the backcourt for Libertyville this past fall, and I have no doubt she will be turning heads this weekend!

I was able to see Fleegle at the Windy City Qualifier this past club season where she was part of a high powered Sky High 15 Elite team. A steady and dependable libero, Fleegle brings consistency to the backrow where she is going to put the first contact on the nose for her setter. She had a successful high school season at Libertyville, earning All State Honors. She is definitely one to have on the radar this 2025 club season.

Charlie was one of the top liberos at the Gauntlet. She has a clean and consistent contact on the ball. What really set her apart was how well she read and reacted to serves and swings coming her way. She easily took up half the court at any given moment. And even her scramble touches were playable and usually 2-option passes. She made tough, jaw-dropping plays look easy.

Charlie is the type of athlete you would never know was one of the youngest at the showcase. She was constantly talking and giving everyone high fives. Charlie was an energizer even in challenging drills and was always looking for a way to help her teammates. As a defender, she is scrappy and gets a touch on everything that comes over the net. She is excellent in coverage and keeps some very tough balls alive.
