<p>Prep Dig will be covering multiple matches every week and featuring the players that stand out the most for their performances over the course of the season, but we'll also preview some matches that have the potential to be very interesting ones. </p>

<p>The Grand Oaks Grizzlies have been one of the top teams in the nation so far in the season. They remain undefeated in district play with 11 victories and dropped just one of their 38 matches so far in their campaign. Grand Oaks are loaded everywhere and have sophomore outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='318128' first='Halle' last='Thompson'] (289 kills), junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='180175' first='Samara' last='Coleman'] (261), senior right side [player_tooltip player_id='230789' first='Caelyn' last='Emmerling'] (157) and senior middle blocker [player_tooltip player_id='124153' first='Jaela' last='Auguste'] (128) all having great offensive seasons - Auguste also leads the Grizzlies in blocks, with 74, while Coleman is the main passer, with 396. Versatile senior [player_tooltip player_id='216523' first='Audrey' last='Terry'] is playing setter this season and has dished out 462 assists, backed by sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='452249' first='Samantha' last='Sampson'], who has 244. Sophomore libero [player_tooltip player_id='235997' first='Cali' last='Reece'] is the team's defensive leader, with 252 digs and 255 passes.</p>

<p><strong>The Woodlands</strong></p>

<p>The Woodlands Highlanders are trying to return to the State Tournament and have a 9-2 win record in district play (one of their losses was against Grand Oaks). In the season, they have 27 wins and 13 losses. Junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='179917' first='Ella' last='Lewis'] has been an offensive force for the Highlanders, having tallied 468 kills already in the season - she also leads the team in aces, with 56, and is second in digs (447) and passes (517). Junior Payton Stroud (404 assists), sophomore Megan Johnson (358) and senior Brooke Jones (236) are all getting playing time at setter, while junior libero Cameron McDaniel leads in digs (578) and passes (572). Senior Sophie Jones is the team's top blocker, with 94 stuffs. </p>
