<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school volleyball season continues to progress at full pace in the state of Texas and, just like that, the playoffs are now less than a month away in the Lone Star State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig will be following the action closely and every match I get to attend will be followed with a Top Performers Report, highlighting the prospects who stood out on the court, and a photo gallery.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Tuesday, October 10, I was at a Katy ISD district match between the Jordan Warriors and the Cinco Ranch Cougars.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cinco Ranch remained undefeated in district play and got their 13th victory in the region with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-14) win to take their season win record to 29-5. Loo got several of Jordan's serves and handled the vast majority of them extremely well, keeping the team in system and allowing setter [player_tooltip player_id='179888' first='Kassidy' last='O'Brien'] to run the offense as she wished. Much of Loo's stability comes from her calm demeanor on the court as she never looks stressed or fazed by pressure. Gabi was set on the left, the right and even the back row and consistently put the ball down, on several occasions with bounces. She's become the Cougars' main scoring option this season and that seems to have elevated her game even further. The senior had no trouble putting the ball down either, displaying a very complete offensive game, that helped her get four kills. A lefty, she added a lot of firepower to the team hitting on the right and leading their offense with 11 kills, using her left and explosiveness extremely well. Ribakovs also had a big role in the Warriors' serve-receive system, making part of their passing efforts in almost every rotation.
