She has very special physical tools, with her long, yet light body, which allows her to move extremely well on the court. Barrera has a strong blocking presence, reacting quickly to everything that happens at the net and using her long arms to get to the ball or apply pressure on opposing hitters. She's also a solid offensive player and is particularly good at hitting the slide set. She's the type of setter that will trust eachof her hitters no matter what and that shows in her balanced distribution, which is often a weapon of the teams she plays for. Gasca is precise with her locations and likes to ellaborate things a little bit when in system, runnign quick combinations and moving hitters around. She's always very strong mentally and capable of deliver under pressure. Although not extremely tall, she's very powerful and aggressive on offense, getting off the floor extremely well and not backing off in front of any blockers. Koonsen also sees the game very well up at the net and makes good selections with her shots - she is very quick when snapping the ball to the line.
