has to be on the board of every top-tier college program in the country. A 2028 from San Juan Hills High School and TStreet Volleyball Club, she was one of just 12 athletes selected by USAV to represent the United States at the NORCECA Tournament in Ontario, Canada, where she competed at the Girls U19 Pan American Games. Most recently, she was named the MVP of the Dave Mohs Tournament, a testament to her impact against elite competition.
Tall and talented, the only thing holding her back is simply more hours on the court and the fact that she is still young. At this tournament, her steadying presence was impossible to miss. She handled movement with balance and control, and her platform consistently delivered balls that kept the offense in rhythm. At the net, she is virtually unstoppable. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247

‘ next-level potential is clear, but what stood out at this tournament was her steadying impact in serve receive. She handled movement with balance and control, and her platform consistently delivered balls that kept the offense in rhythm. At the net, she an automatic wall, especially on balls hit directly at her. Her decision-making remained calm in pressure moments. Megan brings a grounded, composed presence that quietly raises the level of play around her. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247

Please officially welcome Miss Hodges to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at San Juan Hills High School and for the Tstreet volleyball club program. We have been watching her for the past two years and couldn’t wait to crown her in her rightful place amongst the stars. There are only a handful of middles that I have seen in my 25 years of coaching that can take over a match and she is one of them. There are some dangerous middle blockers out there but Megan takes it up to another level. As an opposing coach, you must know where she is at all times, because she is deadly at the net. Her club squad runs her on a variety of play sets and uses her athleticism very well. She is doing all of this in the open level while playing in an older age group. She has total control of her body in every aspect of the game and can dominate in an instant. Although listed an a middle, there is no doubt in my mind that she can play any position she wants to on the court. With her physical skill set and high volleyball IQ, I know we will see her in the Olympics in the future. As a blocker, not only does she have the height, power and balance, she also has the court awareness and vision to set up correctly on the hitter’s attacking shoulder in order to block their attacking angle well. She is a phenom and whichever school wins the chance to have her on their roster will win the lottery. Please help us congratulate her on her achievement of being listed as the best player of this state in her grad class.

is an absolute powerhouse in the middle, one of the hardest-hitting players to step on the court. Her combination of height, athleticism, and pure explosiveness makes her an unstoppable force at the net. When she swings, the ball comes off her hand like a rocket, leaving defenders scrambling and making half-hearted attempts to stop her completely futile.
Her ability to dominate the middle is a direct result of her strong footwork, quick transitions, and court awareness. She is relentless in attack, always available as an option, and able to terminate plays with authority. Whether it’s a quick tempo set or a slide attack, Megan finds ways to score at an elite rate, making her a true difference-maker for her team.
Defensively, her size and blocking instincts make her just as intimidating. She closes the block with precision, reads hitters well, and puts up a wall at the net that opposing teams struggle to get past.
Megan’s presence in the gym is undeniable—she plays with a fearless mindset and a dominant energy that makes her one of the most exciting middle blockers in the 2028 class. With her natural talent and work ethic, there’s no doubt she’s on track to be a high-impact player at the next level. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247
