Her lateral speed and ability to read the set allowed her to close blocking seams and disrupt attacks. She stayed vocal in transition and fully engaged in every rally. Her competitive fire was visible on every point. Whitney brings an edge that makes her a commanding presence at the net. Please officially welcome Miss Port to the State Rankings.  She is currently ranked as the 59^th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings.  She plays at San Juan Hills High School and also for the Tstreet volleyball club program.  We had her listed on our official Watch List for a while and after careful evaluation, decided that she has more than earned her place amongst the state’s best players.  This young lady has a cannon of a right arm and the ball explodes off of it with every swing.  I love how she runs her routes with both precision and speed out of serve receive.  She truly excels hitting the “thirty-one” set.  By using great court vision, she can see if there is a split in the block and exploit it with power or see that the block is a solo one and cut the ball around it to score.  Furthermore, she also excels during out of system plays defensively by staying ready to keep the ball off of the floor with awesome emergency techniques.  We think she has a lot of potential to play at the next level and are proud to have her listed on our website.  Please help us congratulate her on her achievement of earning a spot in our State Ranking List.

Whitney is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but she is listed on our official Watch List.  She plays volleyball at San Juan Hills High School and plays club for the Tstreet volleyball program.  There are tons of high motor middles at this level of play, so to stand out amongst them is truly a big deal.  I was able to watch a juggernaut match up between a top open level team and Miss Port’s squad.  It was a true battle back and forth with high-level play throughout the entire match by both teams.  When the going got tough, it was Whitney who stepped up numerous times with amazing offense from the middle.  It didn’t matter who was matched up against her or how many blockers came over to slow her down as she turned on the ball in mid-air and attacked sharp angle with tremendous power to score kills.  The level of her peripheral vision she used while attacking in order to see open spaces against the defense was on another level when I watched.  Some of those kills came during very crucial parts of the match that allowed her team to gain momentum.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for her individual play.
