Up now, middles (pt. 1)!
Albert is one of the top players for the class of 2027, and for good reason: She is super athletic, jumps high, and can put the ball away with ease. Playing for NPJ Portland 16 National this season, Albert is a weapon from the middle, using her speed and quickness to get to every ball and putting up a dominating block.
Bentley, the #1 middle blocker for the class of 2025 and one of the middles on the commanding NPJ 18 Forefront team, is an offensive and defensive force. Bentley is a super physical player with a heavy arm, and she detonates on the ball like no other. Bentley is also one of the state’s best blockers and puts up a formidable wall.
Highlights
Hitting out of the middle for the RISE 17 Flagship team is Bitzer, who combines an impressive reach on the ball with a quick arm swing to score consistently. Bitzer is fast on transition and gets up high, moving her attacks around the court well. She also has great court vision and is smart about her shot placement.
Elgarico is a super bouncy, athletic, fun middle blocker to watch play. The University of Oregon beach commit and NPJ Salem 17 National middle jumps insanely high, reaching over nearly any block she faces. Thanks to her impressive beach play, Elgarico is crafty and dynamic with a versatile hitting arsenal.

G3 18-1 middle blocker Euhus is commanding and tough to stop. Euhus connects incredibly well with her setters, and she showcases perfect timing, a high reach, and a quick, powerful swing to consistently put the ball away. Euhus also puts up a big and dominant block, stopping opposing attackers often.

Godard, one of the middle blockers for OJVA 16-1, is a solid force at the net. Godard tracks the ball well, and with perfect timing, she is excellent at blocking and attacking overpasses with authority. Godard also does a great job of finding the holes and deep corners on the court to create scoring opportunities.

Herber is another stellar freshman who is making waves on the court. The NPJ Salem 15 National middle blocker is really fast, transitioning off the net quickly and getting up high to put the ball down. Standing at 6’1”, and with a powerful arm swing, Herber hits over the block and deep into the court with ease.
Heytvelt, the #2 middle blocker for the class of 2024 and a Campbell University commit, is a super tough, athletic, dynamic player with tons of offensive and defensive prowess. Playing for OJVA 18-1, Heytvelt puts up a big block that proves hard to hit around. She also manages to find open court consistently when attacking.

Johanson, yet another impressive class of 2027 player, is quick and commanding from the middle for the Aspire NW 15-1 team. With her height, high reach on the ball, and quick and explosive approach, Johanson is practically unstoppable. She also makes smart tips and shots to score.
LeLuge, the #1 middle blocker for the class of 2024, is undoubtedly one of the most dominant players in the state. The Cal Poly commit and NPJ 18 Forefront middle blocker has an insanely quick and powerful arm swing, and she gets up so high that it’s nearly impossible to block her. LeLuge is also a stellar defensive player, both at the net and in the back row.
