Here’s a player that needs to move up the rankings in a bad way. Natalie was one of the players that stood out to me the most all day. I spent a lot of time in the 17s bracket for the day, and Blue Ridge happened to draw Metro Travel 17 in theirs, so I watched some while I was in the area. First thing I notice is this quick, scrappy DS show good speed and positioning. She looked like she was prowling the court, before the serve or the attack she was reading the court and putting herself right where the ball was going to be. That kind of skill is next level and really needed at the college level where coaches will tell you there are looking for proactive, not reactive defense. Then I watched her get a ball up from Hunter Ross Hunter Ross 6'2" | MB/OH Flint Hill | 2027 State #64 Nation VA , the incoming UCLA recruit, who if you haven’t seen her before, yikes, she’s a monster, and Natalie got a hard shot from her up like she does this every day. This is a kid I want to know more about, I may have to catch up with her and chat soon, being a 2026. The kid has the tools to be a star.

Blue Ridge seems to always develop top notch liberos. If they play beach for the club they get an opportunity to enhance their indoor game. Natalie made some nice one handed saves in the back row at the Shamrock. She passes and plays defense well. She has a chance to develop into one of the top notch liberos in the area. She debuts at number 146 in the class of 2026.

Blue Ridge won the 15 Open. When watching this 15 team play sometimes you get blinded by the talent of left side Aaliyah Green Aaliyah Green 5'11" | OH/RS Millbrook | 2027 State VA and class of 2028 setter Breeze Johnson Breeze Johnson 6'0" | OH/S John Handley | 2028 State VA . Then out of nowhere Natalie makes a diving one handed dig on a serve that hits the net and appears to be headed to the floor. That’s when you notice the libero. In addition to the incredible defensive play she also showed an ability to make the routine ones as well. Blue Ridge with their beach program has a history of developing stgrong liberos and Natalie appears to fit that mold.
