Cross Court Classic: 15 Open – Right Sides

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was a busy weekend of club volleyball in Houston as the city hosted the 2024 edition of the Nike Cross Court Classic, one of the most anticipated and biggest tournaments of the season, from March 9-10.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Almost 700 teams took the courts at the George R. Brown Convention Center, in downtown, competing for two days in one of the 18 divisions of the tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li><a href="https://prepdig.com/2024/03/cross-court-classic-15-open-photos/">Cross Court Classic: 15 Open - Photos</a></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig was in attendance on Saturday, when we got to watch the pool play matches of the event. One of the divisions we covered was 15 Open, which featured eight teams, coming from several different regions of Texas. Some players stood out to us for their performances and we're taking the week to report on them. Although not very tall, she is very physical and makes her athleticism count every time she goes up at the net to swing. Feomaia gets off the floor very well and has a heavy right arm, constantly beating blockers with her power. She's also versatile offensively, being able to hit quicker and higher sets. Muckelroy is tall and very long and uses her arms very well to put pressure on opposing hitters. Moul used her length very well every time she went up to swing and had success in most of her offensive actions. Besides having a high contact point and swinging hard, she also displayed good variation in her shots, showcasing a well-developed game. An extremely versatile player, she played a lot of different roles for the team, hitting and blocking from each of the three positions at the net. De La Garza had great success offensively, playing with great explosiveness to get off the floor well and swing with power.
