It is my great pleasure to bring you our first publishing of the Class of 2027 State Ranking List. This series of articles is to introduce them to our readers and every college coach in the country. We have been watching the 2027 class very closely throughout the entire high school and club season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone's recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to the rankings due to their individual performances.

[player_tooltip player_id='534291' first='Gentry' last='Barker'] [2027] 5-10 Outside (HS: Lovejoy/Club: [program_tooltip program_id='431308' first='Texas' last='Advantage'] Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Please officially welcome Miss Barker to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the best overall prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Lovejoy High School and also for the [program_tooltip program_id='431308' first='Texas' last='Advantage'] Volleyball club. Gentry is one of those special players who can do it all on the court. She was born to play this sport and has such a vast skill set that is on full display every time she steps on the court. One of the best words that I can use in order to describe her is EXPLOSIVE! Everything about her game is explosive. From the way she is able to create and utilize momentum in her approach to the electric down swing in her attack, it is all done with amazing speed, which results in some fireworks for everyone to see. I have watched her in person quite a few times and what I love about her game is how polished she is at this young age. She does not play like a freshman at all. It is almost like watching a senior play amongst youngsters. She is absolutely in control over her emotions and focused on one goal…winning. When I watch her perform, I see that Kobe-like “Mamba Mentality” in her game and it is super fun to watch. We will be watching her continue to progress over the next few years and suggest every college coach in the country does also. In the meantime, please help us congratulate her on earning a spot and being named the best player in the state of Texas.

[player_tooltip player_id='534299' first='Brynn' last='Stephens'] [2027] 6-2 Setter/Right Side (HS: Rock Hill/Club: [program_tooltip program_id='431308' first='Texas' last='Advantage'] Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Please officially welcome Miss Stephens to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 2nd best overall prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Rock Hill High School and also for the [program_tooltip program_id='431308' first='Texas' last='Advantage'] Volleyball club. When it comes to Brynn and where she fell on the rankings, we had to consider everything that she is able to do on the court during two positions. There is no doubt that she is a special player who has a ton of potential and could easily be in the running for the best player overall in the future. Her prototypical height, power, speed, volleyball IQ, and skill set are top notch in both setting and playing the opposite position. When TAV had some injuries this year, she ran the offense by herself and they did not skip a beat at Triple Crown en route to the title. Now that they are completely healthy, she is able to continue to dominate in both roles equally and it is a sight to see. Brynn has the attention of every college in the country for a reason. I do not see that changing any time soon. We are very happy to have her listed on our site. Please help us congratulate her on earning a top two spot in our State Rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='478458' first='Susan' last='(Allie) Hudgins'] [2027] 6-4 Outside (HS: Westlake/Club: Austin Skyline/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Please welcome Miss Hudgins officially to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 3rd best overall prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Austin Westlake High School and also for the Austin Skyline volleyball club. Many in the sports world echo the saying “you can't teach height” and this is very true to all coaches. Allie has tons of it. Most tall young players need a lot of time in order to adjust their balance and strength to catch up to their height, but Allie is already there. This is on full display as she plays back row and takes a back row attack approach. As a front row attacker, she can go high off of hands, tool the block, swing line, send over a hard cross court attack, and utilize some off-speed to score. She has very little weaknesses in her game and will still continue to grow as a player, which is extremely dangerous for everyone that she goes up against. You can also see how coachable she is when watching her technique in the left side position. Her awesome coaching staff at ATX Skyline will have her continuing to dominate and be one of the most highly coveted players in the nation in no time. Please help us congratulate her on being named one of the best players in the state of Texas.

As always stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes. If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at Michael@prepdig.com. You can also DM me in Instagram and X by searching @CoachMikeDZ. Also don't forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends. Help us help them by simply retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook. Thanks for following us, Prep Dig Texas Family! Don't be afraid to interact with us. We love the likes, shares, and quotes/comments. Keep them coming!
