We have been watching the 2026 class very closely throughout the entire high school and club season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be listed in the rankings due to their individual performances.
Maya Stillwell Maya Stillwell 6'4" | MB Harvard-Westlake | 2026 State CA [2026] 6-4 Middle (HS: Harvard Westlake/Club: SCVC/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please officially welcome Miss Stillwell to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 27th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Harvard Westlake High School and for the SCVC volleyball club program. Maya has prototypical height in the middle that all college coaches love. Her long extremities allow her to make trouble for any attacker to score easily. Her blocking technique is elite to say the least. This is not just because she has long arms, but it is due to her press over the net. She truly understands blocking principles of taking away space from opposing attackers. If she is ever late on closing with her feet, she possesses the ability to reach over and close the block with her arms. What makes her even more special is how she spreads her hands out as far wide as possible to cover as much surface area as she can so that the ball cannot pass through. As an attacker, I love that she leaves for quicks when the ball passes her shoulder so that she is in the air when the ball is making contact with the setter’s hands. She is hitting the ball before it reaches its peak. If you need a tall middle to shore up your roster and defense, please give this young lady a look. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot on our State Ranking List.
Daniele Clewis Daniele Clewis 5'10" | S West Ranch | 2026 State CA [2026] 5-10 Setter (HS: West Ranch/Club: Legacy Girls Elite/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please officially welcome Miss Clewis to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 34th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays for West Ranch High School and also the Legacy Girls Elite volleyball club program. I had the privilege of seeing Daniele play at the Red Rock Rave national qualifier in Las Vegas this club season and she wowed me with her skills. As a setter, she proved to be extremely athletic on the court as she moved to track the ball and deliver to all locations. I marveled at her ability to be silky smooth as she jump set and fooled defenders with it. There were also a few times that she caught everyone off guard with a dump to the opposing side that scored with ease. She understands that setters will score with dumps when the pass is perfect more so than when it is a last second desperation move. I also loved that she was not afraid to battle at the net when in the right side position. When you watch her play, you can see that she has tons of experience and strong leadership skills. If I were picking a team draft style, she is the type of setter that I would pick in the first round for sure. Not only did we decide to put her in the rankings, but her skill set drove me to rank her very high when comparing to other setters in her grad class. She is the real deal and could easily move up the rankings in our next update. I loved how athletic she was as she played defense like a libero in right back. This young lady is a star and should be looked at by many colleges. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our prestigious State Rankings.
Chloe Allcroft Chloe Allcroft 6'1" | MB Marin Catholic | 2026 State CA [2026] 6-1 Middle (HS: Marin Catholic/Club: Absolute/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please officially welcome Miss Allcroft to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 36th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays for Marin Catholic High School and also the Absolute volleyball club program. I haven’t seen a middle be as on time for a quick set as Miss Allcroft in a very long time. I love how she understands the need and importance of hitting the ball out of her setter’s hands in order to score fast and furiously. She is capable of running multiple routes fast and her club team loves to move her around. Although listed at six foot one, she plays three to four inches taller with her long extremities. The other aspect that not many will notice is how she follows her setter along the net really well. When the pass brings the setter toward the left or right side of the court, it is imperative that the middle goes toward the setter in order to still have multiple options for the setter to deliver to and keep the defense guessing. A lot of middles will stay in the middle of the court and want the setter to push the ball to them, but this doesn’t put any pressure on defenders to move. Chloe is still dangerous from different angles when she follows her setter and this keeps her team extremely aggressive. She is someone who all college coaches need to keep on their short list of athletes to watch in the grad class. Please help us congratulate her on earning a top spot in our State Ranking List.
