No matter the age division there was seriously high level volleyball being played on every court. Here are some Gauntlet standouts from the 15’s division this weekend.
Thiemann was an absolute blast to watch play this weekend. She is a 6 rotation outside hitter who takes a hard swing to power through the block. Thiemann is sound in serve receive and has a great finish to her attack. At one point she just seemed to float into play and scorched the ball down the right sideline. After that, she took over the match with a low flat float.

Faber was bringing the hammer this weekend. She sees the ball really well and understands how the play will develop. A setter tried dumping in her direction and she just threw the ball back for a kill.
Highlights
Utecht was finding her stride and really ripping the ball off the block. She was slicing the ball inside the block over and over. Utecht was also really lethal from the backrow.
Highlights
Cowan has a really nice topspin on the ball to make it drop right behind the block. She carries herself with a lot of confidence and shows some great signs of a leader. Cowan’s attack is getting more refined each time I see her play.

Fleegle was getting some crazy ups and was literally everywhere on the court. She was digging everything with such great court awareness. Her style of play was so mature. Fleegle even made a dump on 2 after the setter took the first contact.
Highlights
Prohaska takes a big swing on the ball without hesitation. She puts some serious oompf behind the ball. Prohaska was really driving her team in 3rd set situations which takes some real guts. Then she was showing off her ability to put a roof on the opposing attackers for good measure.
Vesledahl was really fun to watch. First, she was making serious hustle plays to keep the volley going. She has a nice finish on the ball to get it to land perfectly in the deep corner. Vesledahl also showed a great deal of game IQ when she started taking a hard swing off the block.
Highlights
Scifres is super athletic and was turning the heads of all our scouts. She makes a very smart set selection and knows just when to throw a setter dump into the mix. When you run an offense as diverse as Scifres runs you can really ball out with some of the best.
Highlights
Roman is simply dynamic and packs a serious punch. She is fast off the ground and swings with a lot of power behind her. Roman was getting the job done for her squad with her high-flying finesse.
