<p><strong>Prentice</strong></p>

<p>Prentice has been a long time participant of the Prep Dig Sizzle dating back to the first tournament in 2020. They are back in 2024 after coming off a big season in 2023 where they finished 33-9 and were state tournament participants, part of the final four of Division 4. The top player returning for the Buccaneers is [player_tooltip player_id='497927' first='Kali' last='Heikkinen'] who was a 1st Team All State pick in Division 4 where she had an astounding 571 kills in 2023 and even had over 500 digs. Emma Dettmering is also returning where she had nearly 200 kills her junior season. </p>

<p><strong>Bay Port</strong></p>

<p>The Pirates are heading into 2024 with lofty expectations where they were second in the Fox River Classic Conference behind Manitowoc Lincoln and were sectional runner up finishers behind Appleton North in 2023. One of the top players for Bay Port returning is middle blocker [player_tooltip player_id='202186' first='Chloe' last='Parker'] who is committed to Bradley and just finished a successful season with [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 17 Navy. Outside hitter, [player_tooltip player_id='202161' first='Kendra' last='Shimon'] will be returning as well where she had over 200 kills and 150 digs. They also return their top two setters in [player_tooltip player_id='202187' first='Alaina' last='Shimon'] and [player_tooltip player_id='509331' first='Meghan' last='Bruss'] where the two combined for over 850 assists in 2023. </p>

<p>Oconto Falls had over 30 wins in 2023 and will be returning a strong core from that team who had a deep run in tournament play. [player_tooltip player_id='202162' first='Amber' last='Otto'] is entering her senior year and has had a decorated career in the orange and black. She tallied over 400 kills her junior season and is sitting at 845 kills for her career, at this rate she will eclipse 1,000 career total kills. A freshman who had a breakout season was [player_tooltip player_id='435897' first='Lucy' last='Ripley'] who is soaring up the charts of being one of the top attackers out of the Wisconsin Class of 2027. She score points from anywhere in the front row. </p>

<p><strong>Kewaskum</strong> </p>

<p>Kewaskum is a program that is on the rise where they notched 24 wins with a young team in 2023. They return their top four kill leaders in [player_tooltip player_id='178277' first='Madelyn' last='Marquardt'], [player_tooltip player_id='178273' first='Brooklyn' last='Grisolono'], Mara Buschlick, and Alayna Lambrecht. They also have rising sophomores in setter Milli Kreif and libero [player_tooltip player_id='435899' first='Morgan' last='Vetter']. Vetter was just short of 400 digs in her freshman campaign and was a huge standout for IAM VBC 15 Red who made it to the gold bracket of USAV 15 Freedom Division. [player_tooltip player_id='178277' first='Madelyn' last='Marquardt'] can swing and dish, she played for MKE Sting 17 Black this past club season and will be heading to Mount Mercy, an NAIA school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. </p>

<p>2023 Champions of the [program_tooltip program_id='428569' first='Central' last='Wisconsin'] South Conference, Pacelli is a D4 team that will be bringing two squads to the Prep Dig Sizzle. They had 25 wins in 2023 and will return a very dynamic setter in [player_tooltip player_id='178346' first='Emma' last='Reincke'] who had over 750 assists and 100 kills, she was a D4 All State nominee. Their first contact will come from libero [player_tooltip player_id='178349' first='Katy' last='Ilkka'] who had nearly 500 digs her junior season. Kaylin Yenter will be the top returner attacker for the Cardinals where she had nearly 200 kills her junior season. </p>

<p><strong>River Falls</strong></p>

<p>The 'Cats are back! River Falls was the Cinderella team of 2023 where they were a six seed in their section, advancing to the state tournament with some major upset wins. River Falls is accustomed to a rugged schedule and thrive off top tier competition. They will be returning All State athlete [player_tooltip player_id='178331' first='Maddy' last='Range'] who is committed to Southwest Minnesota State, a D2 power. She had over 300 kills in 2023. She wasn't the only one who had over 300 kills on this team where rising sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='511138' first='Amelie' last='Pankonin'] had a breakout freshman campaign with over 300 kills as well. They will also return their first and second contact in libero [player_tooltip player_id='496803' first='Olivia' last='Doerre'] and setter [player_tooltip player_id='641803' first='Ava' last='Peters']. </p>

<p><strong>Oshkosh West</strong></p>

<p>This could be the year for Oshkosh West to break out as they will be one of the favorites in a wide open Fox Valley Association race that has been dominated by Appleton North and Kimberly. The Wildcats have a dominant junior class that is led by outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='277433' first='Sydnee' last='Nelson']. Nelson won a state title in the 100 meter hurdles this spring and is a springy outside who had over 350 kills in 2023. Another rising junior is a swiss army knife type player in Makaelyn Clark. Clark is a standout for FVP 16 National out of Appleton where she is a setter/right side combo player. Two rising seniors that will cause havoc in the front row is [player_tooltip player_id='178229' first='Maeve' last='Lasky'] and [player_tooltip player_id='522599' first='Kirsten' last='Klatt'] who can provide a big block and offensive firepower. </p>

<p>Sauk Prairie has been a team to beat out of the Madison area dating back to their state tournament appearance in 2020. With their recent success, they will bump up to D1 this season due to the success performance factor. They have plenty of firepower in this lineup with setter/right side [player_tooltip player_id='178308' first='Greta' last='Shadewald'] who is committed to Lindenwood in the St. Louis area. She is a returning All State athlete. On the outside is an explosive athlete in [player_tooltip player_id='388467' first='Mallory' last='Hartwig']. She is an offensive powerhouse who can score plenty of points and is due for a big season with an elevated all around game. They will have a day one pool match up with another team who is bumping up a division due to recent success in Pewaukee. </p>

<p>Hudson will be making the trip over from the Minnesota/Wisconsin border along the Mississippi River where they had nearly 30 wins in 2023. They are returning a large core of their team that includes two D1 commits. [player_tooltip player_id='181197' first='Jana' last='Jankowski'] is heading out East to Lehigh where she was a D1 All State pick in 2023, notching over 250 kills and nearly 100 blocks. [player_tooltip player_id='285234' first='Ellie' last='Burns'] is a do it all type of athlete where she can set and swing. She is coming off a big club season where she played for Northern Lights 17-1. She will be heading to Southeast Missouri State where they are a perennial contender for a title in the Ohio Valley Conference. </p>
