Postseason Performers: U17 Washington Liberos

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Post-season play has ended, and college camps, high school summer leagues, and tryouts for the next club season are all underway! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>USAV Nationals and the AAU Championships highlighted the post-season slate for Washington players. Teams traveled to Las Vegas and Orlando, respectively, to compete against some of the nation's best and most tested teams. Players and teams battled it out one last time before turning the page on the 2024 club season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Washington is taking a closer look at players by class and position who stood out in the post-season tournaments. In a match against Team Velocity, Quinn's precision serve reception helped Aspire take a 13-1 lead. The rising senior is long and has good range in the back row, squaring up serves and free balls with sound footwork. Lobet reads the game like a senior who has been there and done that, sinking in towards the net early when hitters show off-speed and confidently handling the second ball when she has to set. In a match against Dead Frog 17 Black, Barbee hung tough against huge swings. She will absorb a swing and take enough off the hard shot that the dig keeps her setter out of the net and lets the team run a solid transition offense. Caoili has the strength to take any ball overhead with her hands and easily can stick out one hand and pop up a dig off an opponent's swing. She has played a bunch of volleyball, and it shows in her ability to read the game and be in the right place to make a terrific defensive play. Her Shockwave 17 team competed in the 17 Freedom Division, and in a match against ASEVC 17 Premiere, Ball was locked in and dishing dimes to her setter.
